Camryn hopped into his little rich kid car, a cherry red 69' Corvette. The car was fixed up bu him and his father, one of the last moments Cam spent with his father before his father died. Even though Cam didn't show it very much, his parents deaths were really getting to him. He hardly spoke to people except to his sister. And when he was around her he tried to act as though nothing happened. He tried to be strong for her, to make sure she didn't see him down. He didn't want her to see him like that, to see her big "tough" brother cry. He was afraid of what she would think, or if she would look at him differently and not look up to him as much.
Camryn only knew about cars because his father had taught him, and ever since Cam was a little boy all he wanted to do was work on cars, well lucky for him he got his dream. In his old town he had been a mechanic, and also him hanging with the wrong crowd, when a person who loves cars sees an awesome car just sitting there, calling his name, something is bound to be stolen, hence why Cam was on probation. Camryn had served some time in jail, and let me tell you, that was the worst time of his life. The men there don't take lightly to a "pretty boy". Most of them left him a lone but luckily for him the ones who didn't got caught so he wasn't made any ones "toy".
Camryn drove through the town and passed so large houses that looked very nice to live in. He looked at the envelope full of money on the seat next to him. Just another reminder that his parents were really gone. He let out a sigh and pulled into the local mechanic shop. He took a breath before sticking the money in the glove box and fixing his hair and his black scarf. He wore a plain white v neck that showed off quite a bit of his toned chest along with some black skinny jeans and a pair of his doc marten boots . His black hair fell slightly into his blue eyes. He opened the door of the classic car that he drove, the hinges squeaking slightly as he stood up with one foot still in the car. He let his eyes scan over the place after he lifted his sunglasses off his face, hanging them from the collar of his shirt. The place looked nice enough, might be the only place to get a job here that he would like. He looked back into the car at the papers that rested in between the seats. All he needed was a signature.

Aspen was doing a quick sweep of the garage. She was the only mechanic in right now, except for Archer who was busy working on paperwork. She’d finished her work for today, unless somebody happened to have some auto troubles today. Earlier her twin had stopped by to annoy her – but she promptly made it clear that she was having none of it today. Even Camden knew when to back off. She suspected he was still on the grounds somewhere, but at least staying out of the general distance in which Aspen could through something at him.
She set the broom down in a corner and stopped when she heard a car roll up, turning around. She raised a brow as the driver parked the car and stepped out. ”Damn, ’69 Corvette?” It was a question but she already knew the answer. She grabbed one of the several cloths hanging around and wiped off her greasy hands on it, though in this place you could barely look at anything without getting some grease on yourself. Stains covered her black cargo pants and old, worn ‘Of Mice & Men’ t-shirt.
Only now did she glance at the driver himself. She took a moment to take in his attire. He might be new around here, she gathered. She tended to notice anyone who wasn’t very typical of this area. Her gaze flicked back to the car. It was nice. She didn’t go up to it, instead leaned her shoulder against the frame of the open garage door, crossing one ankle over the other as she stood. ”Car troubles?” She asked.

Camryn leaned back into his car and grabbed his dreaded probation papers. Surely there was someone here who would sign them, after all, sometimes criminals know most about what the desire, and sometimes its the reasoning the commit a crime, on the lucky ones get away with it. Sadly for Cam, he wasn't so lucky. Camryn could remember that night perfectly. The night was cold and snow was on the ground, and the way that black 84 nova was just sitting there, shining and just screaming for him to take a drive. And then of course there was Jason edging him to do it. So of course Cam being the dumb ass he was decided to break into the car by unlocking it through a crazy in the window and a piece of wire. Little did he know that when he went to hot wire that baby, the alarm went off. Just his luck.
Camryn heard the voice of a girl asking if he was having car troubles. He smirked and let out a slight chuckle. "Not so much, She runs better than my horse does" He let one of his famous pearly white smiles escape towards her. He reached his hand up and rand a few fingers through his hair to fix it so that it wasn't quite in his eyes anymore. He reached his hand out to shake hers. "Camryn. Um I was wondering if you guys had any job offerings, I kind of need these papers signed too" He said regretfully holding up the few papers he had.
He looked around at the cars that were on lifts, majority of them were trucks, probably due to the large population of horse people in this area.

If he wasn’t here to get his car fixed, was he looking for work? This boy didn’t fit the description of a ‘mechanic’, really. Though neither did she. He just fit the label of ‘pretty boy’ which struck her as a little out of place in the auto shop. Once again, she was hardly one to talk, though. She grew up as tomboyish as they come, and even so experienced a fair share of discrimination, trying to become an engineer in the field. Of course, as soon as she’d succeeded, she had to follow Camden here. She’d forever be babysitting that twin of hers. She used to resent him for it, but despite not being able to work for Boeing or anything like she’d wanted, she kind of liked it here.
His smile was attractive, she had to give them that. She wasn’t exactly swooning, though. If that was the reaction he’d wanted, he’d have to go to someone else. She shook his hand quickly and firmly, having learned very quickly that the difference between a man taking her seriously or not was her hand shake. ”Yeah, we need mechanics.” She said, shrugging. Today was a slow day, but typically they were fairly busy. His name bore a resemblance to her brother’s. ”Aspen.” she replied.
She grabbed the papers, skimming them, and then a slight smile spread across her face. ”Oh, so you’re a bad boy, huh?” She said, reading through the important parts of the text quickly. ”Okay, how much do you know? I’ll sign these if you’re actually able to work here.” she said. They did need more mechanics, anyways. Someone working off his probation wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Archer probably wouldn’t mind. She turned around, glancing towards the only truck in the garage right now. She was waiting for the man to come pick his vehicle up. She walked over to it, handing him his papers and lifting the pick-up’s hood. ”Talk me through what’s in this baby.” She said.

Camryn could help but to let out another slight smile when she shook his hand. She had a nice grip, obvious that she wasn't going to take anyone sexist remarks or crap. He found that highly attractive on a girl, a girl who could handle her own. She was tough, and he dug her already.
Bad boy? Hah "Well bad is all a matter of opinion am I right?" He couldn't help but let out another chuckle. Cam wasn't one to really be to serious. And it was quite obvious that the boy thought quite highly of himself, a little cocky if you ask me.
"Ahhh gotta question the criminal aye? What, you think I don't know my stuff darlin? He let a half smirk cross his pale face before he walked himself over to the truck. He grabbed a rag on the way and hung it on the side of the truck so he wouldn't get his white shirt dirty as he leaned over slightly.
He took a deep breath as he looked over the tuck slightly and lifted a few caps and moved some cables here and there before he walked around the tuck once. He ended his walk in front of the truck once more, grabbing the hood and slamming it shut.
"Hmmm ok well, seeing as the truck is a 2013 Silverado 3500HD the engine is a Duramax V-8, ummm, I would say 6 cylinder with an Allison transmission and can haul up to 23,100 pounds. It has a fully steeled frame, and looks to me that it could shoulder up to 7,222 pounds of payload, it can hold a big load and still move smoothly and not feel weighed down. I think I have said enough, or do I need to continue to convince you that this "bad boy" isn't a fluke.

Aspen took a step back from the truck as he approached it, crossing her arms and tilting her head slightly to the side as she watched, a crooked smile finding its way onto her face as she waited. While she and her twin hardly looked alike, they had similar tendencies. The little head tilt, the crooked smile, among other things. She grabbed a pen while he was turned around, tucking it in one of her pockets, getting the feeling that he would know what he’s doing.
When he turned back to her and quickly rattled off the specs on the car, she didn’t betray any emotion, glancing back at the truck and then to him, looking over him once more. For a moment, she didn’t move, and then the strode forward, grasping the papers and pulling out the pen, using the hood of the car as a surface to write upon. ”Alright, criminal, welcome aboard.” She muttered, trying to sound annoyed. She actually wasn’t too upset on the idea of having him around. He actually seemed like he could make company – a high compliment, coming from the introverted, generally socially disconnected Aspen. She’d have to find something to call him, though, seeing as Cam was her twin’s nickname.
”So bad boy, now that you work here, what exactly did you do to get yourself thrown in the slammer?” she asked, though she wasn’t looking at him now, instead grabbed the rag and was wiping down the truck he’d just evaluated quickly. Where the hell was the owner of it, anyways? He was supposed to be here within the last hour, said he’d get a ride from someone, or something. Reasons why not to depend on people.

Camryn noted the annoyance in her voice. It seemed slightly fake though, like she was trying hard to make it seem like she wasn't going to enjoy his company, but Cam knew that that would be quite the opposite. But there he went again being all cocky and what not. But to him, every girl should like him, and in his experiences, that's what generally happened, I mean c'mon who doesn't like that sexy next door bad boy type?
"Ouch darlin, that's kinda offensive" hes said putting a fist to his heart jokingly as a response to her calling him a criminal. HE was used to it by now though, it's all his mother and father called him after he got out of jail. Pretty much everyone did but Tori. Tori had always had the most faith in him, he never understood why though. He was a terrible person, well at least in his own mind he was. Camryn was probably his own worst enemy, always doubting himself, maybe that's why he was so damned cocky. Trying to prove something to himself?
He chuckled slightly sticking the paper in his back pocket before quickly shoving his hands in his front pockets. Heh, why you so interested cupcake? he said, his blue eyes falling onto hers. he shrugged before turning around and walking in the other direction Well you see, I kinda... Stole an 65' Cobra, and then resisted arrest, so I was in jail for 6 months before they put me on parole, which my father bailed me out He said kicking his feet slightly remembering his father, all he had ever done was be a disgrace to him, and now he was dead, he couldn't prove himself to his old man anymore, and he never had had the chance to, and never would. Camryn regretted that most in his life now, how horrible he was to his parents, he never got to show them how much he really cared for what they did.

Aspen twitched a little at his comment of ‘Darlin’ but she kept it to herself. Yet another thing she’d learned; guys would make comments that they didn’t even know bugged her. As badly as she wanted to be one of the guys, it was never going to be that way seeing as she was in fact, a female.
However, ‘Cupcake’ was pushing it. She turned around sharply, staring him dead in the eyes. ”Let’s get this straight now. Call me ‘Cupcake’ again, and I’ll chop your balls off with kid scissors.” She said, not smiling but not frowning, her tone entirely even. Some nicknames she could handle, but Cupcake just got to her. It would not do. Her off centered smirk returned when he explained how he got himself into his little predicament, and she couldn’t help but laugh, shaking her head. ”’65 Cobras are nice, but come on man!” Now she full on grinned, entertained by the fact that he got caught. She was never one to go so far as to steal cars, but she knew better than to go for something that could only backfire.
Aspen had never been good at picking up changes in emotion or anything. Hence part of the reason she preferred technology to people. However, she managed to recognize Camryn kick at the ground, seeming to temporarily lose himself in thought. She didn’t want to get herself caught up in it, but she caught his eye, trying her best to look concerned. She wasn’t intentionally insensitive to other’s emotions, but she’d never really been able to conjure up sympathy for strangers. She could really only sympathize with those close to her, Camden and her parents, mostly.

Camryn's hands flew up as soon as she turned around. Feisty one eh? He tilted his head slightly giving her another priceless smile. "Hey hey hey, no harm intended... cupcake" he said chuckled and flirting slightly, he never really intended to flirt, it just came naturally to him, it was part of his personality, he was a flirt, big time. He smirked at her when she calmed down slightly. Sure he like the idea of keeping his twins but seeing her face when he called her that was priceless. He made sure to note it and do it a few more times just to lite a fire under her butt.
He laughed again at her next words "C'mon that car was sexy as hell alright! I couldn't help myself, and I was so dang close to! I was just careless and didn't see the alarm attached to it to prevent hot wiring, but eh, its whatever right? Whats done is done, shit happens." he said shrugging his shoulders slightly.
He knew she had noticed his slight proclamation of a depressing moment. He turned his face away from her slightly looking up before he turned around slightly and leaned over the hood of his corvette. He punched the hood ever so slightly, just barely, nothing to really make an impact or a noise even. He let out a deep sigh, he didn't know why his emotions were getting to him so much right at that moment, and there was no way in hell he was going to let a perfect stranger see him cry, yet alone a girl. No one had ever seen the boy cry except his mother, and maybe the guy that shared his cell in jail. He was always told that when a guy cried it was a sign of weakness, and that was the last thing he wanted anyone to think, that he was weak, and a "crybaby".
He shook it off as much as he could before walking around to his door that was still open, throwing the probation papers inside, he slammed the door, a little too hard, making it close, making a loud slamming noise. It was apparent that something was bothering the boy. He hated the fact he was making is so damn obvious, but what the hell, if she was gonna judge, let her judge. He felt himself beginning to sweat from his forehead. He reached his hand up and wiped it off quickly as he shook his head and spun around quickly.
He leaned his back against the car propping his left foot up next to his knee and crossing his arms as he turned to look back at Aspen, pulling his "cool kid" act again. "So, Cupcake, do you need any help around here or am I free to leave?" he made a point to emphasize cupcake just to piss her off because he found it amusing.

Flirting wasn’t something that Aspen tried much, and it usually went straight over her head if somebody tried to flirt with her. Being her tomboyish self, who’s much more comfortable around guys however, she often became flirty without noticing it. Of course, as always, Camryn’s little comments went straight over her head, and she impatiently bit her tongue as he referred to her as ‘Cupcake’. She’d gotten used to men calling her nicknames before, she’d get used to it now. ”Don’t make me regret signing those things.” Her green eyes flicked over to the papers in his hand.
She wasn’t particularly worried about him stealing a car here – he wouldn’t end up working alone thanks to the matter of probation, and while his actions didn’t exactly peg him as very clever, he didn’t really strike her as stupid enough to make such a mistake twice.
Aspen shook her head. She wasn’t exactly able to hire, but she knew Archer would be fine taking on a boy who had to work for no pay. She knew that having been in jail wasn’t a big issue, as long as the kid was willing to work hard. ”Archer isn’t here yet, so I need you to fill out some job application thing.” She shrugged, walking towards the door at the back of the garage that leads to where the office is. ”Just protocol, we need mechanics, it’ll definitely be a yes, we just need some info to file.” She said as she led him down the hall to the front desk, opening a drawer and flipping through some papers, pulling one out. ”Here, contact info and stuff.” She said, putting the paper down on the counter and dropping a pen on top of that.

He chuckled when she threatened him about regretting signing the papers and of course his cocky self came out. "Hah I don't think you will, I think you are going to beg for me to be here more, cuz you know, I'm such great company right? he let a sly smirk form over his face, it seemed to be slightly permanent now when he spoke to her. He just couldn't help it, it just happened.
He followed her into the office and looked over the form. He grabbed a pen and began filling out the information. Some of the questions were really stupid. He laughed slightly as he answered them all and grabbed the paper handing it back to her. "Here ya go cupcake, I hope that's good enough, because some of those questions are ridiculous. Like honestly who cares what my favorite drink is? Seriously? Or was that part just specifically for your interest? He said placing his elbows on the counter and leaning over slightly, placing his his chin in between his palms, that smirk still on his face. He looked at her and winked slightly.
He probably shouldn't be being such a dog right now considering the girl just gave him a job, but he couldn't help himself.

She rolled her eyes, and grabbed a binder that was beside the computer, opening it and scribbling in a few things, keeping logs on the cars and their troubles that passed through today. ”Oh yeah, you’re a delight, pretty boy.” She said distractedly, not looking up at him, instead focused on what she was writing.
Grasping the paper, she read over his answers quickly. He’d really half-assed it, but it was good enough. She put it in the filing cabinet. It was good enough, they really only needed the contact information, the rest was just helpful. When she turned back around, his chin was in his hands and he was smirking. She tilted her head quizzically, shutting the binder and sliding it back into place.
He winked at her, and suddenly it occurred to her that he was being flirtatious. She froze completely for a split second. Noticing it was a trouble in itself for her. Figuring out how to react? A task greater than herself. How was she supposed to react? Was he even flirting? She could, perhaps, be wrong. The process wasn’t really familiar to her. ”Right, um, sometimes we…” Her voice trailed off and she lost her train of thought, instead zeroing in on the question at hand here. Was he flirting? How was she supposed to respond? Well, this certainly wasn’t it. ”I actually don’t know why we have that. I didn’t write those.” turning her head to glance at the cabinet drawer that contained the copies of the form that Camryn had just filled out. She stared at the gray counter, not sure if she should look at him. ”Well, you’re actually shitty company. So if you wanted to leave, go ahead.” She offered, slightly sarcastically.

Camryn watched her annoyingly look over his papers. He chuckled at her answer as to why they had those questions. He knew she didn't write them, but was she so oblivious as to him flirting with her? He thought he was making it pretty damn obvious. He thought she was hot. He would give her that. And the fat she worked as a mechanic made her ten times hotter.
He sighed slightly realizing she probably didn't get his hint of flirting, or at least she didn't act like she did. Cam wasn't used to being ignored like this. It killed him inside slightly. She was the first girl that hadn't swooned over him the moment he stepped out of his car.
Her next words kind of hurt. He couldn't tell if she was being sarcastic or not. He couldn't tell much about her at all. She was very hard to read. As thought she was protecting herself from something and everything. He slammed his hand down on the desk.
"God dammit! Why must you be so complicated? Why don't you like me? You know what fuck it. Wanna go get dinner with me? Today? After you get off? Scratch that, don't answer, I'm not giving you a choice." He said as he grabbed his keys off the counter and headed for the door. He prayed she would stop him and give him an official yes. "I will pick you up at 7" he said.

Aspen jumped, startled as he slammed his fist down on the table. She whipped around, staring at him with wide eyes, tilting her head. Had she done something to upset him? What was with this sudden change of moods? Times like this made her wish she understood people as well as she did machines. At least technology has a logically reason behind everything it does, and a standard fix for everything, no matter where you went.
Oh, yes, she had done something to upset him, she realized. She'd blown a giant hole in his ego, clearly. Obviously he wasn't used to girls who didn't instantly love him. That's not how it worked with her, she never instantly liked anyone in general. She avoided people as much as she could, and everyone she met was just another interaction to survive through. Needless to say, she hadn't been on a lot of dates in her life. Either she ducked out at last minute, or whoever she was with eventually grew frustrated with her and ditched.
Yes, Camryn was certainly attractive. It wasn't like she couldn't recognize that. Looks weren't everything though. In her mind, everything could be traced back to systems. For example, her Lenovo desktop computer wasn't particularly attractive. It still ran far better than any of her nice looking laptops. She knew better than to go right away for something because of it's looks. Same goes for boys. She was an observer and a problem solver, she was an engineer. And her plan for everything was to find the problem, find a pattern in it if she could, and fix it. Turns out, this works for social situations.
”If it'll repair your broken ego, sure.” She said, still sounding disinterested. Though she was somewhat excited, that couldn't be helped. Just because she was weird about being a human, didn't mean she wasn't one. ”Seven it is. Come get me here.” She ordered. She got off at six today, and that gave her time to go home and change her clothes and take a quick shower, normally she didn't mind going in to public covered in grease in old clothing, but she might as well clean herself up a bit. She didn't want Camryn to get her at her house, because that risks Camden being there. Her twin was basically useless in her life, but he liked to try to feel important by being the protective brother. Which included carefully judging and attempting to drive away all guys from her.
