the outdoor arena

There are four outdoor arena's at Crossfire Farms. All four of these arena's are made with clay and sand for easy drainage and are suitable to be ridden in all year around. The first arena is smaller than the other three, mostly used for lunging. The second is large and used for flat work, lessons, and various western activities. The third and fourth arenas are the biggest of the four. The third has a permanent dressage ring for those wanting to work on their tests and just practice. And the fourth has many different colorful jumps, there is usually a different course set every week.

trails

There are many trails that run through the property. They start out as one path leading from mane barn, and eventually widen and fork out onto four different paths that branch out onto many smaller trails that circle around the property. One of the main trails lead to a lake, and another to a small creek. Most of the trails simply go through the large forest behind the property.

the pastures

All the pastures are large out on grass, there are paddocks set separately for the broodmares. Most horses have separate turn out for liability reasons with the boarders, but there are a few sections that have small groups of horses turned out together. Riders aren't supposed to wander in here without permission or supervision if they're under 16, but that doesn't stop most of them from breaking the rules like the indignant little rebels they tend to be.

cross-country course

Just a few hundred feet off of the main trails leads the boarders of Crossfire Farms to a vast cross country course. The course is set over four miles, with a huge variety of jumps from beginner novice to **** options, the cross country course is set is set over a large area with both hills and flat areas. It consists of obstacles including water hazards, banks, ditches, and many other jumps. All riders on the cross country course must wear a helmet and a cross-country vest at all times. It is not advised that you go out alone in case anything should happen, barn rules prohibit anyone under eighteen to be on the course without a coach.

the practice track

Not only does Crossfire Farms have a whole barn for racing, they also have a standard, one mile dirt track and inner turf track for the race horses to be worked on. You will mostly find the horses being worked at the crack of dawn and late at night. To keep the race trainers happy, there's a set of small bleachers for them to sit on while they watch their charges being worked. While the track is open to all to use, everyone is required to wear some sort of eventing or racing vest when on the track, helmets are not optional.

the main house

Sitting at the top of the property, overlooking the barns, pastures, arenas, and countryside is the sprawling single level ranch home that Crossfire's owners reside in. It is five bedroom, two bath, with a large and beautiful backyard to host many barbecues and get togethers and a large wrap around porch.

the boarding house

On the property there is a two story boarding house provided for the working students and some staff members. Each boarder gets their own reasonably sized room with their own bathroom, and there are large shared kitchen and living areas.
