Cheshire tends to be fairly outgoing; she doesn't mind talking to people she doesn't know, and she's very good at making people feel comfortable if they're shy or introverted. The fact she stands out in a crowd of people has done her no favours personality-wise though. She tends to get a little defensive a bit too quickly, and the attention she gets from straight men makes her aloof and hard to connect with in general.
Scarlette has a good, if wicked, sense of humour at times. Mostly, it is so subtle that people don't even realise she has it. The dry comments are taken seriously and most of the cracks she makes will go right over everybody else's heads. This makes people give her a wide berth for the most part, although she doesn't mind that. She likes both social and private time in equal measures - perhaps even preferring her privacy over socialising with others. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and generally quiet activities. Though sometimes coming across as arrogant and/or conceited, Scarlette is more than a little introverted herself. She would be perfectly happy if people would just leave her alone and allow her some personal space; especially men. She is actually pretty clever, and although definitely more artistically inclined, she could hold her own in most intellectual debates, should one arise - hence why she is doing a major in Journalism.
Despite common stereotypes dictating that redheads are hot-tempered, Scarlette has little to no problem reining in hers. It barely exists - she prefers logical, rational argument to screaming matches, and will not be drawn into them. That doesn't mean by any stretch of the imagination that she lets people walk all over her though. She'll stand up for what she thinks is right, even if it means standing alone some of the time. Cheshire isn't by nature a forgiving person, so if you do her wrong, she'll likely remember it until the day she dies.
WE'LL TAKE CONTROL OF THE WORLD,
appearance »
Scarlette is a real redhead; her hair is flaming red, regardless of whether she's in the sun or the shade. It's long and for the most part straight, hanging down well past her shoulders. Cheshire almost never wears her hair up, whether or not policy demands it. She has blue eyes (I know they look hazel in the photo..Idk why), and she stands at about five feet nine inches. She has no piercings other than her ears and her belly, and no tattoos. Cheshire has one long scar running down her forearm from an accident when she was a child, but none others of importance.
Scarlette weighs perhaps 65 kilograms at a push. Despite the lack of height, she's built like a model - slim and elegant. She's certainly striking enough to be one, and possibly would have been if she'd been taller. Because she's a dancer, she's almost pure muscle. It's certainly given her a very good figure though. Any straight man would be unable to deny one thing - Scarlette is hot. Her eyes often look a little too large for her face, especially when she's surprised. It gives her an impression of innocence, at least until she opens her mouth. Except, of course, if she's staring at you. They give her face a certain intensity that makes many people uncomfortable if she looks at them for long periods of time. Despite living in Australia her whole life, Cheshire has nothing that could be called a tan. Naturally pale, she burns easily but doesn't go brown at all. She has freckles from the sun, although in most types of light they're not all that visible.
Generally, Cheshire likes her skinny jeans and heels, with just a t-shirt. Having said that, she does like her clothes tight - the smaller, the better. She knows she has a good figure and while she doesn't dress like something off the street corner, she's perfectly happy to flaunt what she has. The only time the clothes such as that disappear is when she's dancing - then she'll wear any old thing, so long as it's loose and comfortable.

Parents: Eloise & Lalit Cheshire
Siblings: Ethel (15), Ferris, (17), Ethan (21)
others of importance » Jay Fitzpatrick. They were very briefly at uni together in Australia, although they never spoke. Meeting each other on the beach one day made Ches wish she'd never clapped eyes on him; one might almost think he'd been put on this earth for the sole reason of driving her mad with annoyance. But now, on the other side of the world and in a completely different Hemisphere, there's no chance of running into him again. Right?
LIKE IT'S ALL WE HAVE TO HOLD ON TO,
medical history » Nothing much, although she has hyper extension - basically her joints bends back further than they should. It makes her a better dancer, but it also makes her more susceptible to injury because the ligaments and tendons have to work harder to keep her joints from dislocating.
criminal history » Currently nothing, although she might shoot Jay if she ever saw him again.
life history »
Cheshire was born just outside Sydney to Eloise and Lalit. She came with a shock of red hair, so giving her the name Scarlette. She grew up out in the sticks, riding horses bareback and running around in the outback with her siblings. Even now, she thinks that those were the best days of her life - when things were uncomplicated and her biggest worry was beating Ethan at a race across the yard. While racing the ponies across the paddock one day, the pony Ches was riding happened to stumble, sending her flying straight into a thorn bush. She emerged with plenty of cuts and bruises, the worst one from a piece of metal that the bush had been hiding. The corner of it had sliced open her forearm from elbow to wrist, and was at least half an inch thick. It scarred, as most injuries like that do, but she was no worse for wear after.
When she was six, she started school. That was where she first started dancing, and from the moment she started, Scarlette knew she loved it. Year after year, she began spending more and more time at the dance studio. Unfortunately, despite their daughter's talent for dancing, her parents wanted her to be more academic - specifically, make a career out of journalism or media. Cheshire wanted to dance for a living. As she grew older, neither party's opinion changed. Lalit and Eloise were not trying to run Scarlette's life, they only wanted the best for her. Eloise had tried to make herself a career in the arts when she was younger, and it had failed miserably. She was only trying to protect Scarlette from the same disappointment. However, Eloise had always known from the first that Ches had an edge - some sort of sparkle - that she had never had. Still though, her daughter may be different, may stand out from the crowd, but that didn't mean she'd make it as a dancer. Eloise was not inclined to stand by and watch her daughter dive headfirst into it without a backup plan.
Scarlette herself was not budging on the idea either, and so eventually her and her parents came to a compromise. Cheshire could major in both Performing Arts and Dance, provided she did a Journalism major at the same time. Originally, they wanted her to go to the university in Liddell Hill, and for a short time she did. However, the university closed down and her parents decided here was the next best place.
