You might find me makin' too much noise The sun was bright, hot if anything. It had to be atleast eighty five, it could be ninety or ninety five. It was sweltering hot, but Karlee was going to go for a nice ride anyways. She had somebody bring some cows in today, and thought she would practice her breakaway roping a bit. Her recently aquired new horse, Corona, was trained for roping. Karlee had been working with Bella on roping, she didn't have it down perfect yet, but she was getting there. Corona was excellent. Karlee had not ridden her that much since Lyndsay left and gave Karlee her two horses, Cash and Corona. She was thinking about getting Cash gelded, since he was still a stud, thats how Lyndsay wanted to have him, but Karlee was only sixteen. She was a good rider, but Cash was a handful.
Karlee had saddled Corona and was leading her out to the arena. There was a smaller pen set up within the large arena for Karlee to practice her roping. If anybody else wanted to come out too, they could. She didn't think thier where very many ropers around here, most of the riders out here where performance riders. Karlee enjoyed reining and occasionaly western pleasure, but for the most part prefered barrels & roping & other speed events. Corona saw the cows and perked her ears up. She knew what this meant! Corona was definatly one of the best horses Karlee had ever owned. She was a kick butt barrel horse, in the last western show she had taken first place, and she was also an excellent roping horse. She was good on trails, too. She could do just about anything.
The man who was working the cows waved at Karlee as she came out to the arena. Ready baby? This will be fun. Karlee had only been roping for about a year, and was just starting to get good. She was in her first competition coming up soon for roping, and was hoping to do good. She was riding corona and Bella, but was thinking she would do better with Corona. Bella is a great horse, but shes more of a barrel horse. She is very hot headed. Karlee checked her rope to make sure it was right on her saddle, and mounted up on Corona. She danced a little, knowing what was coming.
Karlee walked Corona into the box, holding her reins in one hand and swinging her rope in the other hand. Both her and Corona where intent, and she nodded her head, signalling that the cow could be released. Corona rushed forwards, breaking the barrier a split second after the cow. Karlee swung her rope over her head, and threw it at the cow, Corona slidding to a stop. The rope was too wide, and it went around the cow, and the practically jumped right through it. Damn it! Karlee said, a bit louder than she had intended too. Its alright Roni, its not your fault. She turned Corona back towards the box, and started to gather her rope up. Lets try that again.
Anouther cow was loaded into the box, and Corona was a bit ancy this time. She almost broke the barrier early, but Karlee held her back. The cow was released, and the pair ran out in a perfect time, and threw her rope, Corona slammed on the breaks, and this time the rope caught the cow around the horns. It was an improovement. Karlee smiled and patter Corona. Thats my good girl. Karlee droppped the rope as the steer trotted off, moving his head around, trying to loose the rope. Corona was ancy now, tossing her head around. Karlee brought her into a lope, and was loping her around the small pen, waiting for them to get anouther calf ready. This was an informal practice.

The young blond pulled her Ford F450 Super Duty into the parking lot and parked. She'd been gone for a bit - her mother had had some emergency and it'd been imperative that she return "home" - but was back now. The twenty year old had returned earlier that morning and had managed to ride bother her horses and was returning to the barn to check up on some things and possibly take Momentum out for a bareback ride around the property. Even though many people found Momentum hot headed and uncontrollable the gelding was sweet as anything around her. After getting out of her truck the young rider ran a hand through her golden colored tresses. Dark colored eyes were hidden behind sunglasses as she made her way toward the barn to grab the gelding's halter from one of her two tack trunks. Aqua had two decent sized tack trunks one for each horse and their tack. After checking each trunk Emily Aqua Harper grabbed the more worn looking leather halter from Momentum's tack trunk and a neon blue lead rope and headed toward the field. Once at the gate she let out one long and low whistle and waited. About a minute later Unstoppable Momentum came galloping toward her. She slipped his halter on and led him into the barn for a quick grooming. Once his red tinged coat was gleaming Aqua exchanged his halter for her hackamore. With the skill of a longtime showing rider the nineteen year old was on the 17.1 hand thoroughbred gelding. The pair wandered around the property for a while before coming to the outdoor arena. It was hot and Aqua was almost surprised to see anyone really working their horse but then again in Texas during the summer you didn't really have a choice. Stopping just beside the gate Aqua relaxed casually on Momentum and watched as a cow shot forward followed by a girl on a horse. Aqua knew some about western riding since she was born in Montana and her grandparents owned a ranch but she'd never really followed up on the style, preferring the feeling of flying that came with jumping. Not to say that she hadn't tried western pleasure, barrel racing and other gymkhana games and rodeo styles, but she'd never felt quite what she loved about jumping in either one of them. Sure there was adrenaline rushes and everything but it just wasn't for her. But to each their own. Thinking about Western riding got her to thinking about Trent and Ari. Not meaning for it to happen, her mind started to wander over the memories she held from when she'd lived at King Creek Ranch. Shaking her head as if to rid herself of those memories - and the memory that Trent was at Crossfire Farms as well - Aqua Harper focused back in on the girl and her horse. Red smiled as he looked up at the sun enjoying the feeling as the warm sun made the back of his neck prickle he smiled and looked around his cowboy hat shading his dark brown eyes just enough that they looked black his mind was on his horse which was now safely tucked away in the barn red wanted to look around first before taking Zayan on the run that he wanted so much. He sighed soflty and patted some of the dust and mud off his jeans and singlet he didnt have much else to wear he sold most of his stuff just to come up here the 2 things he wouldnt part with where his bay arabian stallion and his red ute he smiled remembering when he first got both of those things when he looked up and noticed a girl roping his grin spread further across his face and he walked a little faster reaching the fence he put his hands on the fence post then leant forward this was his passion western he loved it to death he was trained as a jumper and cross country but he loved western more then anything he was an adrenaline monkey. Red watched the horse as it seemed to know exactly what it was doing he smiled then looked up at the rider and watched her intently his tanned bronze arms rested on the wooden panks of the fence he looked to the right and saw another girl and horse he smiled at them then focused his attention back on the western girl he was itching to get in the area and set up some barrels or even just bring Z here so he would could have some fun. He stretched and tilted his head as he heard the girl go off a little as the cow jumped through the rope he chuckled softly hoping not to draw attention to himself
