Would you look at her She looks at me
Shes got me thinking about her constantly
But she dont know how I feel
And as she carries on without a doubt
I wonder if shes figured out
I'm crazy for this girl.
Jeremiah Ezra Scott what are you doing??
[/s] Came the laughing voice of a young girl from her bedroom window as she looked down at Jeremy who was standing out in the pouring rain with his guitar singing "Crazy for this Girl" bye Evan and Jaron... her favorite song. What does it look like I'm doing? He asked, and continued on with the song. Shes got me thinking about her constantly
But she dont know how I feel
And as she carries on without a doubt
I wonder if shes figured out
I'm crazy for this girl.
She was the one to hold me
The night
The sky fell down
And what was I thinking when
The world didnt end
Why didnt I know what I know now
No one who knew about Jeremy and Brittany doubted that he loved her more than anything, which was saying a lot considering his obsession with music. Everyone had been convinced that the two of them would get married someday, especially from the way he always took care of her when she was sick, and the way he still thought she was the most beautiful girl on the planet even as she became weak and pale and couldn't get out of bed... no one doubted his love for her, and no one doubted her love for him. They had been the perfect couple, and it had been a horrible thing to watch him go through losing her, knowing there was nothing they could do but try to be supportive. For the week of his depression, everyone had been concerned that he might not survive it. He hadn't just lost the girl he'd loved, he'd also lost his best friend and his inspiration for his music... and without that, it seemed that he just wasn't himself.
No one really knew why he'd changed back after her funeral, but they all assumed that he had just let it go, come to terms with her death and was getting over it. In a way that was true... he knew she wasn't ever coming back, and he knew that she wouldn't want him to be all depressed and un-Jeremy-like. He still loved her, he still missed her, and it still hurt like hell to live without her, but he knew that if she was still there that she would kick his ass and tell him to buck up and get over it... so he was doing his best. Getting over her death didn't mean he had to forget about her. All it meant was that he was going to continue to live his life. He would probably never stop missing her, but he had to move on... she was gone and nothing could change that now.
It was just over two years since the day Brittany had died, and no one in their wildest dreams imagined that Jeremy would still be hurting so desperately, but that was just because he was so good at hiding it by now. He was doing his best to move on, but so far, he hadn't made it far in his moving. Today was one of his better days though. He'd decided to take Stryder out for a walk in the park. Of course, Jeremy never went anywhere without his ipod and and guitar, so he had both with him as well. After walking for some time he stopped at the swings on the empty playground. In his opinion there was no such thing as too old for the playground. He set the guitar on the ground and took a seat on one of the swings, the massive dog sitting next to him.
It was quiet out today...probably because the weather was so overcast, but that made no difference to him. He stayed out in pouring rain all the time, overcast was nothing. Currently he was listening to "Tore the Line" by the Beatles, a song he was planning on making his own cover version of, and he wasn't really paying too much attention to anything going on around him. He could get so engrossed in his music that he would sit there for hours doing nothing but listening to the same song over and over again and not realize how much time had passed. He was most definitely obsessed with music... and sometimes it could even become an almost unhealthy obsession, but he didn't care. He lived for music. It was what made Jeremiah Ezra Scott who he was, and without it, he just wasn't the same.
