Light brown hair whipped back from his face and the wind stung his face, as Trex entered the highway. Fiddling with the radio for a moment before some oldies came on and Trex settled for them. Singing along quietly till the exit to Cross Fire Farms came up. Slowing down and turning on his blinker Trex glided on to the almost empty exit ramp.
A few miles later he turned onto the gravel drive of the peaceful farm. The mad rush had not yet arrived, so he was lucky in finding a parking spot right near the barn. Switching off the motor and reveling in the silence, Trex closed his eye's and for a couple of moments just took in his favorite smells in the world. Horses and just the stable in general. Then Cali alerted him that she wanted out so Trex hopped out and slammed his front door shut before opening the back door and letting out his 2 trusty work dogs, Captain and Cali.
He had trained them well to listen and obey immediately. Though they both had some bad moments, he loved them to death. Captain and Cali were very friendly and loved other dogs. As Trex walked into the barn he told them to stay outside. You just never know how horses would react with strange dogs and didn't want to chance it.
Walking down to Calvin's stall. Unlocking the door to his best friends stall he grabbed the lead rope and halter. Slipping the head collar over the tall blue roans head he led him out into the aisle. Captain and Cali were sitting at the opposite end with there head poking around the corner to see what was going on in there. Chuckling to himself he jogged over to the tack room and ran straight into a girl that he didn't know. "I am sorry, I should have watched where I was going." Trex apologized. He raked a tan muscular hand through his wind swept bronze colored hair and away from his bright green and ocean blue colored eyes.

It had been a long drive back from Florida and all the twenty-one year old wanted to was sleep. She had a photoshoot that weekend but wanted to get back right away to be able to take care of her two horses, Butterfly Effect and Russian Roulette. She was not one to like to leave the two horses and not be able to take care of them herself. They were very fond of her and didn't really take to strangers well which could be a good thing and a bad thing at times. However, Britt really didn't care most of the time, she only wanted them to be safe and taken care of. But she knew that they were in good hands being at Crossfire Farms, she only wanted to be there as soon as she could. She had gotten back to Crossfire late last night and had decided she would sleep in one of the horses stalls. Britt had grabbed a blanket and nestled in beside Butterfly Effect, or better known as Sammy.
Waking up to herself lying next to the wall of the stall and sweet hot breath running on her face she woke with a start. But only a grin grew on the young females face. Sammy was her young four year old quarter horse mare who only trusted a few people. Their bond was very good and having such a bond made Britt feel even better knowing she could feel safe laying at the feet of such a large equine. "Good morning beautiful" Britt's voice was still soft and tired but she got up and gave the mare a hug and kiss on the nose. She knew she should probably go home and take a shower but she only wanted to spend time with her horses. Was that bad?
Britt decided she would groom the two equines so she made her way towards the tack room. Being as tired as she was her eyes were down and not paying as good of attention as she should have been and ran right into another person, falling down to the floor. She heard his voice first, appologizing for running into her. Britt looked up at him with a small grin, "No worries. I wasn't paying attention. It was my fault." Her deep blue eyes looking up into his green and blue colored eyes. They were very pretty. Shaking her thoughts away, she spoke again. "I'm Brittanie Crummett."

Trex laughed a little when, he heard her apologize. "We both need to watch where we are going!" He chuckled. Holding his hand out for her to grab onto he pulled her up back on to her feet. Noticing she had some straw in her hair Trex plucked them from her very pretty thick silky brown hair.
Picking up his tack which had been strewn onto the floor during the collision, Trex(after collecting everything) set it down neatly and introduced himself. "I am Trexler Landon Profit, or just Trex." He stated with a grin lighting up his face. "I really like your name it is unique..." He commented. One of his gorgeous crooked smiles with one dimple appeared on his tan angular shaped face.
"Are you fairly new here? because I don't remember meeting any girls like you around here before..." he let his sentence hang in mid air. Trex admitted to himself that he thought that she was very very pretty. Especially her dark brown hair and eyes. Though thats what made him internally squirm. He had met many women of far greater proportions with brown hair and brown eyes. But something was different about this women. Though for all his worth he would not put his finger on what it was.
Leaning against a large wooden chest he rested there for a minute before picking up his western tack and holding the door open for her and giving a bow with a merry twinkle in his eye he stepped out after her. "I am guessing you ride western?" He spoke to her in a friendly tone of voice. That made Brittanie even more appealing to him.

Brittanie smile as the guy spoke. He was right, they both did need to watch where they were going but she had to admit, when she wasn't modeling and working, she was quite clumsy. Giggling slightly, he took his hand with a firm yet gentle grip and pulled herself up. When she was upright and on her feet, she looked into the boys eyes for a moment as he pulled a few pieces of straw from her hair. Britt only then noticed how close the two of them where and began blushing, stepping back slightly.
Britt watched him as he collected his things that had scattered all over the floor and then neatly stacked them beside him. As he introduced himself, she listened closely as he stated his name. Trexler. That was a name she hadn't heard before. Britt liked names that were different. She gave a smile as he made a statement about her name being unique. She only giggled. "Not as unique as yours." Her bright blue eyes lit up as she watched his smile grow forming cute dimples on his face. He was definitely a cutie.
Listening again as Trex began to speak, she nodded. "Yeah, I thought I would give this place a shot. I normal travel but I kinda wanted to find a stable place for a while." Britt then realized after she had spoke what he said. like her? This confused her. What did he mean by that. A slight confused look on her face grew. "I don't mean to pry or anything but, what do you mean by, like me." She pushed her hand through her soft brown hair and twirled it around her finger at the end.
Stepping out of the tack room as Trex held the door open for her, she turned and wait for him to follow her out. Nodding again to his question, she answered, her voice light and sweet. "Yeah, I was born on a ranch in Montana. It's the only thing I really know." He obviously rode western which made her happy. She would now have someone to go ride with. That was something she was hoping to find here as she was new but it seemed like most of the riders rode English.

Smiling when she commented on his name. Keeping silent he swished her out the door before closing it behind then her bright blue eye's had held so much emotion that he felt like he could stare into them forever. Where the hell had that come from. Taken aback by his thoughts with a quick shake of his head a little smile crept up on to his face as he leaned against the doorway.
The small half smile lit his face as he pondered her question. "Like you?" Trex gave a little chuckle, before stepping towards her once again. "I just meant that, a pretty face of your's would not so easily be lost to my mind if I had met you before, and certainly a unique name to go with a beautiful face would not elude me if I had already met you." Chuckling he stepped away not wanting her to feel like he was a creeper or anything along those lines.
Trex walked down the dusty aisle to Calvin's stall setting the tack down on the rack he pulled the beautiful blue roan quarter horse from his stall. It was very uncommon for a quarter horse to be seen in Calvin's coloration. Blue roan was not a common sight among quarter horses. Brushing him down a little, Trex let his mind wander. He had decided to go to a little place far off the beaten path of familiar trails though a rout that was burned into the mind of all of his trusty steeds. Then on an impulse he called out to the pretty Brown haired Blue eyed girl. "Hey brittanie if you don't have a ton to do, I would like to show you a special spot on the trails that very very few know about other than me..." He had no idea why he was asking her or if she would accept, but for some strong reason he wanted her to come see his little special spot.

A quiet giggle came from Britt as he whisked her out of the room and through the doorway quickly, shutting the door behind her. Their eyes locked for a few moments. She felt as if they were the only two in the whole world there for a moment, it was the oddest feeling in the world, but good at the same time. She didn't really want it to end but she was sure it would have been awkward for him. Britt watched as he looked away, shaking his head and a smile appearing on his lips as he leaned against the doorway. He was adorable she couldn't help but smile and look at him.
As she asked what he meant when he said, 'like her', she waited for his response and leaned against one of the nearest walls, leaning her head back slightly, listening. Britt noticed him step closer towards her as he began to explain what he meant. She began to blush as no guy had ever really said something like that to her before. Most wouldn't even take the time to talk to her like that or be so kind. She ran a hand through her hair and looked shyly down at the floor for a moment and then back into his eyes as he stepped away slightly. She kinda didn't want him to step away but she wasn't going to say anything.
Britt watched as Trex walked away and probably towards his horses stall where he set down his tack. She began to make her way to where he walked and watched as he brought out a beautiful blue roan quarter horse. She walked up closer beside him and leaned against the stall door as she watched him groom the horse. She began to daydream as she was interrupted as Trex began to speak, asking her about joining him on a trail ride somewhere that not many others knew. Britt at first was shocked by his question and wasn't sure what to say. I... I would love to. She gave him a big smile, her dimples clearly visible.

Watching her lounge against the stall door he 1/2 smiled at her answer. "Okay then... tack up a horse, thats not dog shy, though I expect that growing up on a ranch, that none of your horses would be dog shy though I wont judge." A teasing glint appeared in his eye's as he looked at her.
Smiling he threw the tack on to the Blue Roans back and cinched up the girth. Calvin didn't mind though it also helped that his attention was trained completely on Brittanie. Calvin was staring at her with his dark brown inquisitive eye's. Calvin started nudging Brittanie's hand and pockets looking for a treat of some sort. "Looks like you have and admirer..." Trex chuckled. A grin lit his face as he looked over Britt.
Walking around to the stall door where she was lounging, so obviously daydreaming that he decided to bring her back to reality. "Britt... Earth to Britt... Anyone home in there?"Much to trex's surprise his voice was deep and a little husky. He was standing right over her. Only an inch separated them. Trex flashed his little crooked smile and he bent down closer. "anyone home Britt?" he asked her in a silky smooth voice. Seeing she was snapping out of her trance, Trex pulled away just a little.
