Russell had been at the barn for about a week now and was loving life he had gotten the stallions and mare's used to the schedule. Though in the beginning when 5 white Famous Lipizzan horses arrived at the barn there was not end to the questions and it hadn't started to die down yet. Though Russell was sure it would soon though, he wasn't sure. Pulling up to the barn in th middle of broad daylight was a weird feeling. He knew the attention he was about to bring upon himself but he wanted it over with. You see he had been training the 5 white horses in the night after everyone had left. As not to bring so much attention. Also this was the day that he was going to request a private pasture for his horses. he didn't mean to be a snob or demand anything he just wanted his stallions away from the other horses that he did not know personally. He had to guarantee that these 2 stallions didn't have a scratch on them.
He walked into the barn and straight towards Strikers stall. He wasn't part of the Spanish Riding school, but he was a great dressage horse he had picked up along the way. He rode him for a while maybe a little over an hour, before cooling him down and putting him in the little tiny paddock that had been roped off at his request.
Next he sat down outside Roy's stall and just relaxed for a minute or two. After relaxing he brought Roy out and put the normal Classical dressage bridle on him though no saddle. Lucky for him that not many people were around which was even better. Raking his hand back through his always messy dirty blond hair he scanned Roy with his beautiful bright emerald green eyes. How do you manage to never get a speck of dirt on you but always play in the paddock? Russ questioned his Lipizzan stallion. Leading the stallion out of the barn he brought him right up to the gate and letting himself in and closing it behind him. Climbing up the fence and onto the stallions back, who he had decided to ride bareback today, Russ had a grin of pure enjoyment on his face. Until after a few times walking around the arena he noticed a very very pretty girl standing at the fence looking at him and the White stallion.
(OOC: hey I can change if you do not like it...)

you’ve shown me eventually what you’ll do. Winter was most certainly around the corner, with each and every slight gust of the northern wind she could feel the teeth of cold biting through her jacket. If she didn’t have four horses to work, she wouldn’t have even bothered going out to the barn, the day seemed to be a little bit colder than any of the others during the week. A gloomy setting was what she had to work to as she slowly warmed up her dark bay mare, pleased to find that after forty minutes of work the monster hadn’t tried to kill her, part of her hoped that she was finally growing up and out of her ‘I want to eat anything that gets near me phase’ and starting to morph into the well rounded dressage horse that Dessi knew she had the potential to be.
She knew that Dekker didn’t like it when she rode her Witch horses, but they had to get worked.
With two of her four horses out of the way, it was a choice between Druid and Sweeper. She stood staring in the tack room at their bridles, both double bridles, the difference was the amount of work she could do on them. Druid was a few years younger than her now veteran show horse Sweeper; Druid would not be as sore and arthritic as she rode him in the cold, Sweeper however knew just a little bit more than her white stallion. Crossing her arms she closed her eyes and did ‘eenie meenie miney moe’. When her finger landed on Druid she sighed a little, as if she had been hoping she’d pick Sweeper; but picked up Druid’s leather halter anyway (even though she had the power to change her own decision).
Walking into the aisle way she noticed a young man putting up a white horse, but did not pay much attention to them.
Finding the stallions stall she stood at the door and called to the dozing giant, whose head was resting in the back corner of his stall, butt facing outwards. As comfortable as he looked, she was hardly sorry for disturbing him. Rattling the latch on the stall door to wake him up a little he lackadaisically lifted his head and turned an ear in her direction, reluctantly he yawned and turned around. Slipping into his stall she cooed to him and put his halter on. Taking him out she tacked him up and looked in the indoor arena, there was a lesson going on and she did not want to be bothered by them. Walking a little ways out of the barn she hopped up on the grey stallion and steered him towards the outdoor arena. Sitting tall in the saddle she used her shoulders and elbows to bend her horse’s head from side to side, asking for a more supple jaw and to open his back.
Obediently the stallion stretched his head down to his knees, reaching for the contact.
By the time they got to the arena, he was basically warmed up and ready to start trotting. She nudged the gate open with her foot and then looked up to see the same man from before on a possibly different white horse, he noticed her looking at him and she said, I’d ask if you were busy working, but you’re not in a saddle, so I won’t. She steered Druid into the arena and began to make circles down the long side before looking back at the man again, realizing she hadn’t seen him around before and said, Th’name’s Dessi. Who are you?
o6o1 notes: she’s being a butt.

Russell Parker scanned the girl. She was very pretty. This personal thought surprised him, ever since Mari cheated he had practically like a man nun. Not even thinking about the outside or just girls in general. He chuckled a little and breathed a sigh of relief when she didn't know who he was. Maybe he had hope of not making much of a scene or anything. Anyone who had gone to the Lipizzan Stallion show would know who he was. But maybe she wouldn't recognize him. Russ raked long strong tan fingers through his dirty blond hair as he watched her. The name is Russell Parker, this he said motioning to the white beast the very image of gracefulness, Is my best buddy. Royal Coach. He was pretty sure that she had no Idea who the hell he was or if he was important or not. In response to her statement about not being busy he just chuckled. "I am very busy actually..." he chuckled some more. "Just my kind of busy is the different kind than most dressage riders would say... Have you heard of classical Dressage. I am guessing you have but you never know in America." Russ's deep voice grew a little gruff and his German accent played a little with the words. His emerald green eye's took in the sight of her horse. He noticed that it was of very good bloodlines, and training. "Beautiful horse you got there." he said to her. Russ was completely sincere. Feeling that his horse was ready to move, Russ gathered the pure white stallion up and moved him into an extended trot, from there he worked on the slow floating canter that the White stallions of Vienna were prized for. After this warm up Russ put his lateral movements to the test, after that they practiced Shoulder in canter and shoulder out. An hour or so later Russ was done giving his stallion a light workout and slid off. He decided that he was going to practice for some actual Dressage with a non trained for classical dressage horse. His Chestnut Iberian Stallion Cobra. Calling across the arena to Dessi who was working the same horse, though he couldn't quiet remember his name. "Going to get Cobra..." He didn't scream because for one he knew better and two he didn't want to spook the horse no matter how well train it might be. Also why was he telling her, most likely didn't care where he was going or why he was going there.

you’ve shown me eventually what you’ll do. When riding, Dessi usually preferred to ride alone, and often times disliked talking to other people in the arena. She was riding to get things done, not to make friends and chitchat, if she wanted to do that, she’d go hang around in the barn and talk to any random person that was tacking up or walked by. Most of the times, Dessi had no discrepancies on who to start a conversation with, and it was rare that she felt like she had a need to start a conversation, she always felt that the best friends were friends she’d met through her own spontaneity. Rare it was, for her to make friends while she was riding, a few occasions had occurred, but that was because she had simply been hacking her horses (or gotten injured before she could shut down into work mode).
Needless to say, there was a great deal of randomness in her personal friendships.
Alraedy, for some strange reason, she did not feel too terribly fond towards the man, it seemed that when she spoke of not knowing who the hell he was, he breathed a quick sigh of relief, but did not feel as if she should know who he was. Trotting Druid around on a loose rein for a little bit, she barely caught his introduction, his slightly haughty words made her halt and turn towards him, her words were venom-encased and her dark eyes flashing with a strange irritation as she bit back an uncharacteristically nasty reply, I meant you didn’t currently look busy. And no, as a well-informed dressage rider who has studied the evolution of competitive dressage, I cannot possibly know of the certain movements and style of classical dressage. It would be pointless for me to ride dressage if I did not know what today’s dressage has evolved from. She completely ignored his comment about Druid and as he moved about to work, she shut down her social skills and got to work.
Her mind was blank, save for thoughts on the horse moving beneath her.
At least an hour later, she was jerked out of her concentration to hear the man calling to her from across the arena, a snarl was clearly written on her face as Druid suddenly fell apart. Throwing the reins at him she sat down and asked him to walk, eyeing the man across the arena as he left she fiercely replied, Go for it, champ. Shaking her head she rubbed her face and let Druid walk around the arena as she held the snaffle bit rein on the buckle, still not done, she was giving the grey stallion a short break before going back to work, trying to get her mind back in the right place.
474 notes: sorry she’s being so mean Dx

"I was just asking no need to get all defensive or anything..."Wow someone a little grumpy today, Russell though to himself. A little frown appearing in between his brows. Though it quickly disappeared as he led Roy out of the arena. Russell felt bad about interrupting her concentration. After a few minutes of cooling Roy down he put him in with Striker in the small roped off pasture. Jogging back to the barn he grabbed Cobra out of his stall he had ridden the tall chestnut earlier that morning though he didn't get enough done and the progress needed to get that day.
Leading the large Chestnut 17.0 hand stallion back into the arena he mounted quickly, and warmed up again with switching leads and direction changes. Slowly working there way back up to his current level. Russell though could not concentrate for his life and it was making him frustrated. When Cobra started to feel awkward he pulled him into the center of the ring. Hopping off he kept the reigns over his head tied in a knot.
He started to feel his tendons and joints and as he got to the Front left tendon he knew that Cobra was going to be on stall rest for a while. It was a little swollen but thats not what was bothering him. The extreme tenderness in which Cobra was putting pressure on it was. Checking all of his horses hooves he didn't find anything wrong. "Damn it, I am sorry buddy. I don't know what is wrong we are going to have to call a vet." The horse looked at him like, What the hell do you mean! no vet is needed here!. Loosening his girth his he saw the other women throw down her reins again. Russell was puzzled by her action had he done anything to ager her again?
notes: poor Russell he has no Idea why she is being angry!! lol
