A soft sigh left her lips as she laid in the empty bed, a moment of peace and quiet. It was so hard to find now days but when it did come she enjoyed every second of it. It seemed as though one of her fears had come true in the last few months but she chose not to talk about it, her mother had finally seemed to have had a brake through and was now helping her and staying with her. A soft knock startled her back into the real world, she gave her mom a soft smile as she came and sat on the bed. Selena sat up and drew her knees to her chest and sighed, I have been thinking about selling my horses. She spoke softly looking up at her mom, her mother gave her one of those looks, you will do no such thing in fact you are going to go ride today and enjoy yourself I will watch Vienna and Sage. She nodded and stood moving off to the bathroom to get ready.
After twenty minutes she was ready, she walked across the hall and went into the nursery. She looked at her mother who had Sage and walked over and her mother handed her to her, Selena had very well almost died herself, sever complications and a lot of bleeding but she pulled through. She looked down at one of her daughters and smiled running a finger along her cheek, she gave her back to her mom and looked at her, I will be back no later than noon. Her mom waved her off, have fun and don’t worry about it. She shook her head and walked out, she had found Tobby a new home in all the mess. She grabbed her keys and went to her car. She pulled out and drove to the barn, pulling in she kind of got excited but not really she just wanted to get back home and be with her family. She hated going into public now, things were said and whispered about her and she hated it.
She pulled her coat tighter around her and went into the barn, happy to see her horses were being well kept, thanks to her friend. Selena would have no clue how she would get through all this if it wasn’t for her friends and family. She slipped into Twist stall who gave her a friendly whicker and lowered her head to slip the bridle onto his face. She smiled and removed the sheet and admired him for a moment before dropping her reins and reaching out to grab her saddle and pad and setting it upon his back. The horse stood quiet and patiently while Selena checked everything and then opened the door wide and led him out into the arena. Where she tied him up and set up a small jumping course. Dropping her irons she mounted and worked with the horse doing flat work before taking him over the jumps.
It was amazing how fast things came back to her, she turned the stallion onto the rail and had him extend his canter and then collect it before she brought him around to the jumps again. After thirty minutes she patted his neck and dismounted, leading him into the barn she rinsed him off and dried him off nice and good before putting his sheet on. Next was Swags turn, she tacked him up and lead him out into the arena, warming him up first she pointed him to the course and felt him settle into the correct pace and lead before soaring over the jump. He was such a smooth horse she enjoyed it and he was a beautiful mover too. She continued to the last jump and then stopped him in the middle and patted his neck, just letting him rest a little before she took him over the course again.
