Anastasia
& Poltergiest
& Poltergiest
Anastasia awakened in before the sun had risen. The moon was still shinning bright and she gotten a sudden chill. Ana rubbed her beautiful eyes before slipping on some old smooth fabric jeans that she rode in. Grabing a tank top and a riding jacket, she slipped on her riding boots and walked silently out to the barn. Her longish hair was tied into a bun, and as she softly entered the barn, she could hear Geist whinny. His deep sounding calls always distgueshed him from the rest of the young and old stallions. Ana smiled slightly when his large block sized head was stuck hastly over the stall door.
She walked over to him, her slender body waltzing over the floor like a sweet ghost charming her long lost soul. She smiled kindly to her large dappled stallion. He nickered softly and pressed his muzzle against her cheek. Anastasia closed her eyes and rubed the large stallions forhead. Humming a sweet tune called Dark waltz. She had learned the song when she bought the huge stud, it calmed him as it did her. Anastasia soon took a step back and opened the stall. She grabed the lead that was hanging on a hook and clipped it onto his halter. The large shire, and Gypsy mix walked calmly beside his master, as she continued to hum the chilling song...
His dinner plate sized hooves clicked softly along side ana as they came to the cross ties. She didn't even have to tie him to tight, he stood quiet like an angel as she grabbed a brush and groomed his dark dappled pelt. She then grabbed a comb and leaned down to comb out his feathers. Yet still, he sat quite, flicking his thick tail, and getting uneasy every so often, when Ana stopped humming. When she was done with that she grabbed some hoof oil and started painting his hooves. Though it was about 11:50 something at night, and no one would see them. She still wanted Geist to look his best, as if he was going into the grand pix once again..
Once done with the grooming, she ran over his large, strong body again. Running her hands down his legs to ensure that he wouldn't get hurt performing those tricky moves once again. She lifted each limb carefully and flexed them. When she was done checking him, in was past midnight. Ana took a deep breath, she tacked him in his finest dressage saddle. It had the high back and a very deep seat. She made sure that the bit she placed on the briddle was soft for his old mouth, not one of the harsh ones they used for the younger horses. The doubled reins sat peacfully on his smooth musculed nape now. Placing his halter and lead on the hooks beside them, she grabbed her white gloves, and put them on. As she looked around she then grabbed her hat, and placed it elegantly on her head. She smoothed out a few stray hairs then moved to her large stallion. She smiled and held onto the reins and lead the 17.3 hand stud to the arena.....
Once they reached the arena, she could feel Poltergeist get excited. His musceles tensed and he started to prance in his spot. Ana smiled and ran the reins over his neck. She kissed his silk soft muzzle and said quietly... "Lets have one more dance.." Geist nickered and ana Brought his to the railing where she could get into the high dressage saddle. Her white fabric jeans light. Ana sighed and as she moved the the center of the arena, music started to play, The Heart of Davy Jones by Hanz Zimmer... She could feel a slight tear sting at her eyes but it wouldn't break through. She sat straight, her body in unision with her handsome stallion as she tilted her head and urged Poltergeist to start their last dance.
His thick legs were quick and elegant. She let him freestyle, and prance to the music. His muscules bunched together as he did a short flying change. Then the pause. He stopped, his slow canter short strided and he pivoted back to the other direction. His thick skull tucked in to his chest, his thickly feathered legs slow and matched the pace of the music as both rider and horse stayed in harmony. Ana sat deep and looked forward, Poltergeist looked so regal. So... Magnificant that it was hard to belive that he was no longer a dressage horse and that it had been years since he had danced to this song.
The stallion then did a spanish walk, his body rounded and perfect in its stance. After a few seconds of the walk, he smothly transfered into a soft and slow right shoulder in. His front legs exaggerating the height of which he needed for this. they passed eachother perfectly, his body seemed effortless in the way he moved so easily. As they came round to the corner of the arena, Poltergeist twisted and headed off at a high stepping collected trot. His thick neck was arched to perfection.. He would make a pure blodded arabian look dull at this moment, as his pranced high. The feathering on his limbs shaking with his elegant movements. Soon, as he turned diagnoly, his collected trot became extended. His long thick legs struck out with suck efficantcy and grace, that it was just stunning. His greyish mane bouncing, his long tail held high. His hooves contacting the ground softly, the pressure only lasting a few seconds as his body was then sprung back into the air. Ana still stayed in harmony with her horse, they made such a terrific pair. Ana completed Polti and He completed her, their dance was almos to perfect. Making them seem like ghosts dancing in the early morrning...
Soon the music was coming to an end and the pair were slowing down. The large gracefull stallion kept his head tucked and even, as he came piffiale - ing down the middle of the arena. When he stopped, he stoppeD on a dime, all hooves square and straight as Ana tipped her head again... Ending the beautiful dance.
