Rain was exhausted. She ended up spending the whole day at the barn without meaning to. Yes it's just that easy. First she got joker ready and did their normal workout, jump, and some basic dressage. She then babied him and bathed him before putting him in the pasture for a bit. She then got Rumour and worked her for a while. However they got bored in the arena so they took a little tour around the facilities and trails. She then brought Rumour in bathed her as well and put her in the pasture. She then mucked the horses stalls stripping them entirely. If they had barn staff here doing the work she wasn't pleased with the way things were left but she assumed it was a clean up after yourself basis, so she did. When she finished up with that she left just long enough to get her one meal for the day and eat it.
Upon returning to the barns she immediately went back out and caught both horses stalling them and graining each with a specific mixture. They each got a scoop of sweet feed alone with some alfa alfa. Joker she also mixed in a bit of beat pulp. Do to his arab heritage he had a high metabolism and in the winter you had to keep an eye that he didn't loose to much weight. Once again she had taken the time to groom out each horse and spend some loving time with them each one on one.
Rain entered the lounge and threw the base ball cap off her head to reveal her now nappy red hair. She grabbed a soda and slumped on the couch for a minute. Her pants were half tucked into her cowboy boots and you could tell she had been on the farm all day. It was about time she did something. However she chose to sit down and relax her before heading home for the night. Maybe she'd find a new friend to ride with in the morning. [/center]

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place )Hailey skipped through the barn today, her honey colored curls bounced along behind her. She wasn’t riding today. She figured that her pony would be tired after the long distance that they had traveled the day before. Hailey was wide awake due to the time difference between California and Texas. She mucked out Taz’s stall, her pony circling around her, trying to avoid the pitchfork. Little children with pitchforks could be quite dangerous. She used to have sword fights with them with her friends back in Cali. Hailey believed that she had to act more mature at this barn, out of all of the people that she had seen walking around that day, none of them were even close to her age.
Hailey gave Taz a kiss on the nose. “I’ll be right back,” she said smiling, “I’m going to go see if I can find an apple for you somewhere.” On that note, the girl exited the stall and leaned the pitchfork up against the wall. Taz stuck his nose through the bars, trying to grasp the handle of the pitchfork in his mouth. She turned around and pushed her pony’s nose back into the stall and skipped off toward the lounge.
Little Hailey entered the lounge, skipping as usual. “Hello there,” she said politely as she passed a lady sitting on the couch. She found apples in a bowl on the counter and picked one up to bring back to the barn for Taz. The lady sitting on the couch looked tired and lonely. Hailey danced over to her and plopped down next to her. “’Ow are you on this lovely evenin’?” she asked in a fake Scottish accent. Hailey loved making people laugh, it was one of her favorite things to do.

Rain watched as the young girl had waltzed into the room. She was the kind of person with high energy that was bouncing off of her and hitting the walls and bouncing back again. Rain let her lips curl into a gentle smile at the teenager. The girl was cute and Rain assumed her family had money. Not that it matter but all these things affect a person's personality and Rain like to analyze people so she knew what she was in for. The girl grabbed an apple and then spoke. The words rolled out of her mouth and although she wasn't wound up at the moment it was like they couldn't fall out fast enough. She picked up her hat and placed it back on her messy head of hair.
"Hello, I am Autumn Rain. Fairly new here, and you are?"
She better be polite. She had yet to really meet anyone besides that cute guy Tiger. For all she knew this girl could be the owners daughter. Once again none of this mattered to Autumn other then obviously you wouldn't want to piss them off. If nothing else this offered a new riding buddy, a friend. Autumn so potential all over this young girls face but she had a feeling more often then not that the girl was considered annoying. That energy can be an amazing power if you can harness it and use it. Rain liked the girl already even though she didn't know her name.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place )Hailey listened as the lady sitting on the couch next to her introduced herself as Autumn Rain. “That’s a pretty name. I like it!” the little girl’s smile widened as she rolled the name around in her head. “I’m Hailey, Hailey Dalton.” She stuck her hand out hoping for a handshake. Hailey thought that shaking someone’s hand was the adult way of greeting someone and it made her look more mature. The girl was full of energy, but the way she acted depended on what she focused her energy on. “I’ve only been here since yesterday,” she said.
Hailey was a bit antsy. It was hard for her to sit still, but she had to control her energy. She really wanted to run around the lounge screaming and doing cartwheels, but she knew that it would ruin her chances of making any friends. The little blondie sat there, spinning the apple around her in her small hands. This was nothing compared to her when she ate candy, or any kind of sugar or caffeine. She was a wild child, a little firecracker.
The little Dalton girl was excited to ride her pony the next day. She had no one to ride with, but that was better for her. That meant there was no one there to hold her back. Hailey thought for a moment. The owners probably wouldn’t want any kids to be riding by themselves without supervision. After all, Hailey was a reckless rider. She could fall off a hundred times in one day and just keep getting back on until she got it right. Her fearlessness was what made her such a good rider.

Autumn put her hand out to shake the girls. She could tell she was holding back but with time they could get to know each other. Autumn was one to take others under her wing and try to help them the best she could. She had always been fascinated in psychology. She watched the girl with gentle eyes and tried to offer her her full attention. Rain smiled at the girl.
"Well then I guess we could explore this place a bit together."
Autumn was tired the day had been long and hard. Of course she had done it all herself with no one to tell her to but it all needed to be done. You don't just take in horses and let them sit in the field as lawn ornaments. They like to work and play and be pampered just like children.
"So what kind of horse do you ride?"
They were both in a barn so that gave them one common ground. Horses. It was a start. Autumn started thinking about her horses. She liked them a little crazy. Hints why she had an arab and a mustang.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place )When Rain said that they could explore the barn together, Hailey almost jumped out of her seat with excitement. She smiled, containing her emotions. “That would be wonderful." The girl liked hanging out with people that were older than she was. It made her feel more mature. Most of the time, on the outside Hailey seemed like a mature thirteen-year-old, while on the inside she was erupting with energy.
A mellow energy settled throughout the room, causing Hailey to calm down quite a bit. As soon as Rain asked her about her horse, she smiled and began to talk. “I have a pony. His name is Taz, Razzmatazz. He is a grey Welsh gelding. Though I don’t know why they say that he is gray. He is obviously white. Taz is my little speed demon and likes to jump. No one seems to like him very much, but-“ Hailey cut herself off in mid-sentence as she realized that she was talking at about a mile a minute. She hated when she got carried away like that. It was her ADD/ADHD kicking in.
“What kind of horses do you have?” Hailey asked politely. She loved to find out about other people’s horses and compare them to her beloved Taz. There were not many horses or ponies that could match up to his energy level. The two of them combined would be considered deadly. The pair was a speed machine on the jumper courses. Not a lot of people actually liked Taz. He had no ground manners and he was obnoxious to most people. Hailey saw right past the pony’s obnoxiousness and thought he was ‘the best thing since sliced bread’.

Autumn watched the girl as her whole face lit up and all the energy burst out of her at once. She got up as she listened to the girl speak. Taz that was a cute name. Autumn knew about Welsh ponies. They could be more then a handful at times but that was really any pony at all. Autumn was convinced they all had attitude problems. Then again most of her life, because she was so tiny and such a good rider she had always been handed messed up ponies to fix. However if it hadn't of been for that then she wouldn't be such a good rider so she thanked each one of the stubborn little brutes before they left. She slowly began to walk out of the lounge as she had listened to the girl talk.
"I have two. A mustang mare, Rumour. She's got a great work ethic but quit the attitude. My other is a paint/arab cross gelding, Joker. He's very sweet but rather high strung. You would get along with him well I think."
She laughed. She didn't mind all the extra energy. It kind of gave her an extra umph to stay motivated. She let the girl go in front of her assuming first they would go meet her pony. Autumn smiled. She thought about possibly schooling the girl some. She had potential with all that energy if she could just learn how to focus it. That was okay though. Autumn loved a challenge and took it in strides. She chuckled at the girls bouncing step the caused her hair bounce. She was innocent and Autumn liked that. It was nice to know that the cruel world hadn't tainted every wonderful thing out there.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place )Hailey Dalton was not affected much by the world around her. It seemed as though she had created her own little imaginary bubble filled with all of the good things in her life. There were many problems that she had faced every day, but she forgot about most of them quickly. The only bad thing that had penetrated her imaginary bubble was the divorce that her parents were going through. The girl truthfully didn’t know how to deal with that kind of situation. Both her older brother and her older sister had moved out and left her stranded in California with their constantly bickering parents.
Hailey snapped out of her momentary trance when Rain began speaking about her horses. “Hmm…Joker…I like that name too. You’re really good at picking out names…” she said admiringly, “He sounds like a fun horse.” Hailey smiled sweetly. The girl couldn’t deny that she loved a challenge. Any challenge, even the impossible. She might not look like a kid that would put a lot of effort into her riding, but Hailey sure did. Everything she did around horses she gave her one hundred percent.
The two of them got up from the couch and exited the lounge. They walked to the barn, the bounce in Hailey’s step made her caramel curls bounce along behind her. “My Tazzy is this way,” she sad as she reached the barn. The girl began to skip town the isle. “Taaaaaz, I found an apple for youuu,” the girls voice rang. A little gray nose popped out of the stall, causing the girl to smile brightly.
