Reason was everything but used to and liking this heat. But she hauled her but out of bed anyway. Though she had lived in the states for two years now she had just started to get used to the day and night changes. She looked at her clock still half asleep and realized she was late for her anthropology class. She quickly jumped up and ran to her desk sliding her books into her bag and only sliding to the kitchen so that she can grab the keys to her Hummer and with that she was out the door, speeding towards class knowing that the Professor was going to chew her out for being late. Again.
As she ran into class she realized what today was. Saturday, and although she didn’t have class today she did have a paper due Monday. So she walked back out to her truck and slid in. She closed her eyes for a minute thinking how much of an idiot she was. Finally she turned the key in the ignition and drove back to her house. Only going inside to grab her laptop than she was back on the road. She needed somewhere to work on that Family Kinship paper describing not only her families kinship but the average kinships of the three historic families she had chosen.
Finally deciding she pulled out of the parking lot of the university and headed towards the mall. She could get some shopping done, work on her paper in the food court, and eat. She halfway figured it wasn’t the way of the normal college student but back home she and her friends always went out to places with lots of people stores and food to do homework. They swore all the sounds and commotion kept them focused on what they were having to do. Sometimes the logic reigned true but more frequently not.
She pulled into a parking space and slipped her bag, containing a few of the books she would need and her laptop, over her head and adjusted it on her shoulder than walked inside. She had to say she loved all the different stores, walking past a few sporting goods and department stores she found the food court. She smiled and headed towards it, however her stomach must have taken over cause she bumped someone’s bags right from their hands. She only replied a sorry helped gather them up than continued on to the food which was now reminding her she never ate. She sat at a table in front of Starbucks and a pizza place sliding the laptop out of her bag and sitting it on the table she sighed. Looking around she examined her surroundings. Tons of cute guys, some older, some younger, a few around her age. She didn’t see anyone she knew though which didn’t truly surprise her she was always quiet, even in class and she really needed to get a life other than the horse. But for only being here eight months she decided to focus on her terrible little Trouble who was acting up quite frequently in the jumping ring. There it was she found herself getting side tracked. She huffed than looked at the blank document on her screen and all thoughts of Anthropology and homework slipped her mind.
