Allison wasn't much for talking... Okay, who am I kidding? The girl doesn't stop talking. She's what people would call a 'social butterfly'. Mostly any place she goes she likes to hold even the tiniest bit of a conversation with someone. She enjoyed making new friends or even slightly making someone's day. Some of the people who she has be-friended around town happen to be the 'brew crew' as she calls them. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing when she blurted it one day, and after that it kind of became a cute slogan for the staff there. Upon arrival they would welcome Alli with a warm hello and a smile. It was a morning routine for all of them. Without the early morning coffee run (or whatever she happens to order that day) her whole day would be offset. Everyday since the beginning Mary-Ellen was always there. This morning was no different as Allison walked into the doors of the warm and home-y atmosphere. "G'mornin Miss Allipea." Mary-Ellen greeted her. She was whiping down the already clean counter. Allipea was the nickname her mother gave her when she was just a baby, and it was kind of ironic that Mary-Ellen had started calling her that one day. She was kind of Allison's second mom, her comfort here in Addison. Even though she wasn't that far from her mom, it was nice to at least have someone around.
"Well hello there Mary-Ellen." Allison replied, flashing a toothy smile. Alli's eyed the coffee shop, observing all the customers that day. Most of them regulars, some new. The brew was kind of a dark place. A couple leather couches in the corner and a few scattered chairs. Red and mustard yellow accents filled the room. A vanilla scented candle burned on a side table which also held a vase of red and yellow daisies. The whole place made Allison feel at ease. "What can I get you today?" Jessica from across the counter said. She was making a latte from the previous customer who was waiting patiently reading a magazine in the corner. "I think I'm going to just have some apple cider this morning please." She said grabbing the pen and drawing a heart on her hand. It was something she had always done, there wasn't anything special about it or a story behind it. She just did it. Her phone vibrated in her pocket waiting for the incoming text to be read. Alli definitely wasn't much of a texter, she normally just texted family to keep in touch. And of course it was her sister sending her a picture of her niece and nephew. Allison smiled and saved the picture into her phone and clicked off the screen on her Blackberry.
"Here you go sweety." Mary-Ellen said handing her the warm drink. Allison wasn't one to order the same thing everyday. Yesterday it was a vanilla latte and tomorrow was unpredictable. "Thank you so much Emmy." Alli said handing her the debit card. On the debit card was a picture of Hunter and Cutter. She smiled at the sight of it, she always did. Emmy was a nickname that Alli had given to her when she started calling her Allipea. It was a cute way of shortening Mary-Ellen by using the two initials M and E. "What are you doing today? Something with the ponies I'm guessin." Emmy said handing her back the card. "You guessed right, Emmy. I'll probably go on a trail ride or practice jumping Hunter today. Cutter still needs to be shoed and he also doesn't look like he's feeling too hot lately." Allison put her debit card back to it's original spot and took a sip of her drink. She winced as it burnt her tongue, but the flavor was incredible. "You've done it again Mary-Ellen. It's delicious." She raised the cup up and then headed to a one of the leather chairs and took a seat. "Anything for you kid." She replied and whiped the counter. Allison slowly let out a sigh as she fell into the seat.
