So things hadn’t gone quite as planed the night before they were supposed to leave she had come down with what she thought was a cold but the following day it still hadn’t gone away and she made an appointment with her doctor, it was hard for her to speak and it hurt really bad. Blake promised to take a half day and spend time with her when she got back, she tossed her hair up into a messy bun and walked out of the bathroom grabbing her keys and headed out the door and to her car and drove to the doctor and a quick test and she was out and even before she got home they called her tell her she had strep and head right over to the pharmacy to pick up her antibiotics. She turned around and went there and then came home and got a glass of water and headed right upstairs and crawled into bed, curling up as a cough rocked her body and she gripped her throat and sat up and took a drink and one of her antibiotics, before laying down again and resting her hand against her stomach, she smiled softly before closing her eyes, she was only a few weeks but it had felt like eternity. She sighed and yawned again before she felt the sleep taking hold and she rolled over on to her other side and pulled the covers over her head even though she felt like she was on fire but at the same time she had a cold chill going on. She shivered and dozed off deeper.

It seemed as though their trip was cancelled or at least postponed for a little while. He had promised Lana that he'd take a half day so they could hang out, but what he hadn't told her was that he was going to be taking some time off, well, a lot of time seeing that he didn't need to work. He by no means ever needed to work unless he went and bought Apple or something like that, even then, he probably wouldn't need to work. His day so far had been fairly uneventful and he had just stared out the window of the office building, watching cars go by and staring at the clock, waiting for it to be time for him to leave. Sure, he could find some things to do, but he really couldn't focus on anything else besides getting home. He was really looking forward to spending some time with his better half.
He walked into the house and quietly shut the front door behind him. Blake figured that Lana was upstairs sleeping so he made his way to their bedroom, trying to be as quiet as possible in case she was sleeping. He peeked in their bedroom door to see a lump under the covers. He half smiled softly before slipping through the door and to his closet where he changed his clothes into something a little more comfortable. He put on a black tank top and grey sweatpants before he climbed onto the bed, laying next to her, but not close enough to wake her. He looked over at the lump under the covers and smiled again before he put his hands behind his head and crossed his feet.
He stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, finding that he had absolutely no desire to sleep. He looked over at Lana and bit his lip as he tried to decide what to do. He didn't want to wake her but he also didn't want to have her wake up when he was downstairs and freak out thinking that he had lied and not come home. He adjusted slightly before thinking through all of his options.

She didn’t even hear him come home or come in the room and change. She rolled over and draped a leg over his and then kicked the covers off. She was sweating badly and really hot, she groaned and rolled away from him and coughed violently once more, causing herself to wake up and sit up. She pushed the loose strands of hair off her face and frowned as she looked around before she leaned over him and grabbed her glass and took a drink and then coughing some more and then flopped down on him and closed her eyes again, I feel like im on fire. Her voice was hoarse and she looked up at him with lifeless looking eyes and frowned, I feel like death she spoke softly coughing again and sitting up and blowing air out in a frustrated manor, all she wanted was to feel better and not be so big of bum. She laid back down and groaned, make it go away hunny. She pouted and looked at him again, im glad you came home to spend time with your sick better half and sorry I ruined our plans I could have never for seen this coming. She shook her head and gave him a little smile before closing her eyes, shaking her head actually hurt, will you get me some aspirin hunny? Please I love you so much and some soup would be nice. She smiled sweetly and then closed her eyes again, slipping her yoga pants off and sliding off the bed and putting shorts and a tank top on. She walked over to the switches and flipped the ceiling fan on and went and laid back on top of the covers, closing her eyes the fan felt amazing and she was kind of starting to feel like she was cooling off but she knew she wasn’t. Sighing she turned her head and looked at him knowing she was probably getting annoying already.

He looked over at her as she rolled over and sat up. When she coughed he frowned a bit, knowing exactly how she felt. Growing up it seemed like he was always sick, mostly due to stress. Bouncing around from school to school and 'group home' wasn't exactly something you didn't worry about and that really did a number on you physically. He reached for her glass of water when she leaned over him but she seemed to grab it before he even had a chance. He would have gotten it for her so she wouldn't have had to move. When she laid on him and closed her eyes, he put the back of his hand to her forehead. He felt as though he had just touched a stove and he glanced down at her when she spoke. "You feel like you've got a fever," he said before looking into her eyes. It killed him to see her like this, even if it just was strep, the look in her eyes made him certainly upset him a little.
He watched as she sat up again and then laid back down. She was pretty restless and uncomfortable, that was fairly obvious. Her telling him to make it go away made him feel guilty. He felt as though he should be the one who was sick and if he could have, he would have traded places with her. As she looked at him and spoke he shook his head, "If I could make it go away I would. And, I'm glad I came home too. You didn't ruin anything Lana, you can't control when you get sick." He kissed her forehead before wrapping his arms around her for a minute before sitting up. "Of course. What kind of soup do you want?" He asked as he walked into the bathroom.
He returned a couple moments later with the aspirin bottle and he sat down on the bed beside her. "How many do you want?" He asked before even noticing she had changed. When she turned her head to look at him, he leaned over and kissed her before squeezing her hand and heading towards the door to make soup.

Lana sighed and closed her eyes and nodded, they told me I had one at the doctors office and told me to take something to bring it down when I got home and I just forgot because the bed looked so good and what not and I really didnt nap well. She gave him a light smile and found her eyes shutting again and she just couldnt help it any more. She yawned I know but un fortunately you cant make it go away you dont have super human powers and I know but I still feel like I ruined it. She cracked open her eye and watched him go off to the bathroom and return with the bottle not even realizing she had changed well she assumed he hadnt which was ok with her seeing she was just trying to cool herself off, she held out her hand, three please. She took them and her glass of water and took each one and set the glass back down and laid back, she felt him kiss her and she frowned, now you are going to get sick and chicken noodle soup. She sighed as he left and rolled over onto her side, facing the window and closed her eyes dozing off for a moment before having one of those dreams she was falling and woke herself with a start. She groaned and closed her eyes and fell asleep again, figuring he could wake her up when he came back with the soup and then she would decide if she wanted to eat it now or let it sit and sleep some more. A soft snore came out of her as she dozed off deeper, her body starting to cool and a cold sweat settling in. She pulled the covers over her and wiggled under until she was completely coved.

"You just hush and go to sleep," He said with a soft chuckle as he shut the bedroom door behind him. He wasn't entirely sure why he was in the habit of shutting the door, especially since they were the only ones who lived here. Oddly enough it was just a habit now that he had started before he had even moved in. He made his way downstairs to the kitchen before reaching for a can of chicken noodle soup from the cupboard, but he stopped thinking that Lana probably wanted to sleep a little, so he figured he should take his time. If he was going to do that he might as well make the real deal, and did liked to cook so why not?
He quietly made the homemade soup before moving quietly upstairs with it. He cracked open the bedroom door before slipping in and quietly shutting it with his foot when he saw that she was asleep. He walked over as quietly as possible to the night stand and set the soup and spoon down next to her before pulling the curtain across on her side of the window. It was such a nice day but unfortunately neither of them would really get to enjoy it. He laid down gently on his side and glanced out the window at the beautiful spring day. The sunshine was coming in on his side of the bed and he laid there quietly, loving the feeling of the suns rays warming his skin. Sure, winters here really weren't that bad but there was just something different about the sun in the spring compared to the sun in the winter.
He glanced over at her and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He had almost forgotten to move around some meetings and that would not have been a good thing to do. He sent out four text messages and turned his phone on silent so that when he got replies, they wouldn't wake Lana. After a few minutes he put his phone back in his pants pocket. Luckily all of his clients were fairly flexible, well, the ones in the car business were anyways.

She was in such a good sleep that she didn't here him come back in or the fact that the sun was no longer beating against her. She did however feel the bed shift a little and that caused her to roll over onto her other side but not wake up. It wasn't until her phone started vibrating like crazy on the end table did she jump and wake up her heart was hammering in her chest as she sat up and grabbed the phone and answered it, with a sleepy tone she told them she wasn't coming in to work this week because she was sick with strep. She hit the red end button and growled before setting the phone on the end table with the vibrate off. She rolled over and closed her eyes once more and draped a leg over his own and sighed, its like they just know when your asleep and then they wait until your in that hard sleep and then they call and scare the fuck out of you just because there is no communication what so ever in that building, you tell one person your not coming in and they cant tell anyone else. She sighed and opened her eyes to look at him, maybe I should just quit it makes me so unhappy to work there, when I should be happy, I think its just the staff I love my work just not the staff, what do you think? Lana asked softly still looking at him, she didn't feel as tried or as shitty as she had a couple hours ago, it was amazing how fast meds worked on killing the bad stuff. She gave him a light smile and propped herself up a little bit as she waited for his answer.

Blake nearly had a heart attack when Lana woke up so quickly. He wasn't sure what had surprised him more; her waking up so suddenly or her phone vibrating unexpectedly against the stand. He glanced over at her quietly when she answered it but looked out the window after a moment. It really was a nice day, and he was kind of hoping he could get her to go out a little later, fresh air never hurt anyone. His eyes moved back to her when she hung up and growled a bit. When she placed her leg over his, he placed a hand on her thigh and listened. He completely understood what she was feeling. He felt like he worked with a bunch of idiots at the office. It seemed like they couldn't convey a simple message but he was learning to cope. Little things like doing everything yourself sure did make his day just that much longer but it seemed to make things go a lot smoother. "I know how you feel, dear," He said with a slight smile.
He nodded his head a bit as she spoke and shrugged his shoulders. "I think you should do what makes you happy. I feel like you'd be pretty bored not doing anything though; I mean, I just don't want you to go stir crazy," He said when she propped herself up. He leaned over quietly and kissed her before laying back down, feet crossed, hand still on her thigh.

She completely understood what he was saying and she didn’t want to go stir crazy, soon enough though she would be heading for maternity leave soon enough. I know I don’t think I will quit just I get so frustrated sometimes. She could feel his hand on her thigh and his kiss was amazing. She looked at him and smiled, before rolling over so she was on top of him, she gave him a kiss and wrapped her arms around his neck, she gave him a smile and frowned for a moment, honestly you think I would go stir crazy? Really I figured you would think better of me then some crazy bitch. Her mind was telling her it was stupid to pick a fight over that because she knew he was only kidding but she couldn’t stop herself. She rolled off him and back to her side of the bed turning away from him with a humph sound. She had her arms crossed and then sat up and slid off the bed going to stand at the foot of the bed, giving him a very nasty look, just because I have had some emotional trauma doesn’t automatically make stir crazy, if im so crazy why don’t you stick me in a padded room with a white coat! She was livid and knew it was stupid and before she knew it she was crying and excusing herself from the room and going into a guest room. She shut the door and locked it, she flipped a lamp and padded over to the bed, pulling back the covers and crawling under and pulling them around her, the tears still falling freely from her eyes on how dumb she felt right now and how she had probably hurt him and so forth. She was waiting for him to try and get in the room or worse to hear him storm out of the house and never come back. That mere thought made the tears fall more and she closed her eyes and waited.

Blake was dumbfounded when she stormed out of the bedroom. He hadn't even had a chance to say anything before she left and he just sat up in bed, staring at the door. What the hell just happened? Was what he said really that[/ offensive? He certainly hadn't thought so but by what had just happened in the last thirty seconds ago he was starting to think that maybe it was. He felt pretty bad but he was conflicted, again. Should he leave her alone for a little while and let her cool down or should he go to the quest room and try to talk to her? Would talking to her piss her off more? A ton of questions immediately shot through his mind and he flopped back on the bed, his hands covering his eyes.
He quietly got off the bed and went to the door before heading downstairs. He saw the light coming from underneath one of the guest doors and he sighed. He took a deep breath and decided he'd give her some time to relax, obviously he had pissed her off pretty good. He walked through the kitchen and opened one of the doors that led to the back patio. He walked off of the brick and onto the grass where he sat down and then laid back, enjoying the feeling of the grass and what was left of the sun. He figured later he'd have a little fire back here, after all, he hadn't been able to have a fire yet, and he was itching to have one soon.
After about twenty minutes or so he stood up, brushed himself off and walked back inside, shutting the door behind him. He made his way towards the guest room where Lana was and he knocked on the door gently. "Hey, you alright? I'm sorry," He said with an apologetic tone. He leaned against the door frame lightly, hoping to see a shadow overcome the light that peeked through the bottom of the door.
