Arlo is very different from Cal in the sense that he's a lot more patient than his brother, and has more time for people other than himself. One might actually question whether or not they're related because as much as Calix is an asshole, Arlo is kind and sweet. Also somewhat spoilt sometimes, he can be a bad person to cross and despite his sweet nature does have a tendency to hold grudges. He's less...complex than his brother in the sense that usually what you see is what you get. If he's nice from the beginning to you, that's usually how he'll stay until you give him a reason not to be.

Arlo doesn't objectify women the same way Calix does - where his sibling sees them as a source of short-lived pleasure, Arlo prefers longer-lasting relationships. Not necessarily serious relationships, Arlo still prefers to allow them to peter out by themselves to avoid hurting anyone. He's perhaps not more emotional than Cal, but he just shows his feelings more openly, so could be considered less emotionally constipated than his brother.

appearance » Arlo is the same kind of tanned as his brother, the same kind of build, only he has blue eyes as opposed to green ones. He's slightly shorter than his sibling, at around 6" 1' to 6" 2', but he can still come across just as intimidating as Calix, if not more when he wants to.

Calix and Arlo were both born in Rome, Italy. While Calix was sent to a public school in the city, Arlo was sent to Florence to attend a prestigious boarding school filled with Italy's finest youths. There, he was given one of the finest educations money could buy; a way to make up for his elder brother's failings, he supposed. Unlike Calix, Arlo was a perfect student - hard working, popular but not arrogant and never a headache for the teachers. Still though, he much would have preferred to go to the same school as his two siblings. On completing school with straight A's across the board, Arlo went to the same college Calix had decided to try out. Although they argued almost incessantly, Arlo was still somewhat upset when Cal dropped out, but stayed on to finish his degree in History.

At loss as to what to do with himself, Arlo started up a few of his own small businesses and was soon making his own money which he used to buy a racehorse or two, always being a little partial to the sport. Eventually after Calix's antics got too much for his parents (only after twenty-seven years), they insisted both brothers leave not only the house but the country, and bought them both one-way tickets to Texas.
