if you ain't here to party, you picked the wrong place, you picked the wrong friday night. if you ain't here to party, you'll be missin' out on the best damn time of your life. so go on and throw your card down, knock a shot out, and get yourself in the zone. yeah, you might as well go on, and head your ass back home, if you ain't here to party.

But it was a rare occasion that she was actually up several hours before she had to get ready for work. She had things that she needed to get done and with her next day off far in the future she was going to have to settle on actually getting up to do them before work. This meant losing hours of sleep and hopefully being at the top of her game still when she went to work.
Parker had mostly finished the things she needed to get done. She had gone to see Jimmy, gone to return a few things that she had bought that didn’t exactly fit, and did her grocery shopping because the boys had decimated the last of her food supplies. She decided that she might as well go on a run. She was already up and she knew if she went back to sleep there was no way she would want to get out of bed to go to work.
So Parker slipped on her running clothes, laced up her neon running shoes, and grabbed her earphones before plugging them into her phone. She stretched a little inside her apartment before leaving, locking the door behind her, and running down the stairs. She didn’t live far from the lake so she figured that she might as well run to the lake, around it once or twice, and then walk home to cool down.
She had probably gotten half way around the lake before a Dalmatian came sprinting up to her. With a smile she stopped running, still trying to move a bit to keep her heart rate up, and bent down to pet the dog. Looking up to find the owner she spotted a familiar face. She made her way over to the other blonde with a smile and a wave. ‘Hey Mercy. I’m guessing this is your dog?’ she asked gesturing to the dog who had trotted behind back to its owner. ‘You off today?’ [/style] [style=font-family:tahoma; font-size:8px; line-height:10px; letter-spacing:3px; color: #61A7C7; text-align:justify;]- - - - - - - - - - - I'M NEVER GIVING UP. if you ain't here to party, you picked the wrong place, you picked the wrong friday night. if you ain't here to party, you'll be missin' out on the best damn time of your life. so go on and throw your card down, knock a shot out, and get yourself in the zone. yeah, you might as well go on, and head your ass back home, if you ain't here to party.
Mercy leaned back on the bench, and watched the lake. It was a wonderful winter day, with the sun shining brightly. Texas wasn't usually a cold place anyway. Spike laid lazily at her feet, and fell asleep. He didn't like to exercise, but he did like to get out in the sun. The blonde still had things to do today, but she was perfectly happy lounging by the lake for the time being. Her horses needed attention, but she knew the stablehands would feed and water them. She'd have to go brush and exercise them later. Mercy brushed her hair back, watching the water lap the shores. She had heard of lakes freezing during the winter time, but she had been from the south her entire life. Down in the south, lakes didn't freeze over. And to be honest, she didn't believe they ever really did.
"Skye! Get back here!" she called out as the Dalmatian ran up to a jogger. The puppy turned her head towards Mercy, but ignored her. When the jogger headed towards her, Mercy recognized her. "Hey Parker! And yeah, she is," she said, smiling. Skye sulked her head, knowing she would be in trouble for not listening. Mercy turned her attention towards the dog, but decided not to scold her. She hadn't really done anything wrong. All she wanted to do was meet new people. She took after her owner that was for sure. Parker was a very attractive blonde, and Mercy was interested in her. But Mercy didn't date coworkers. Well, she actually didn't date at all. But she didn't sleep with people she worked with. She turned her attention back to Parker and nodded. "For once, yeah," she said, noting the lack of days off they got at The Basement.
Mercy loved her job. She didn't mind working so much, because sh really was a whore. And her job allowed her to be exactly that. But when she was around her animals, she seemed to be completely different. She loved life, and she loved to be caring around her animals. They were her babies. The only babies she'd ever have. Mercy wasn't the type of person to want kids. She wanted to do something with her life. She wanted to go out and explore the world. Have sex with different people and enjoy life. The blonde looked back at Parker. "I take it you're working tonight, then?" she asked. She got along fairly well with Parker as coworkers, but she didn't usually see her outside of work. Maybe once in awhile they'd run into each other at the barn.

Parker leaned down and pet the dog a few more times. She really did need to add a dog to her life. Even though she wasn’t sure if Simon would get along with a dog. She could guess that her grumpy old cat would probably at least be very hesitant at first. But hey if she got the dog sooner rather than later then maybe it would be easier to make Simon like the other animal before he got too old and too grumpy. Parker laughed a little as Mercy said that she was off work tonight. ‘They seriously work us like slaves. I feel as if they never give any of us a day off.’
Even though Parker worked practically every day she couldn’t complain. It kept her rent paid, food on her table, wine in her fridge, lodging for Jimmy, and food for both of her animals. That really was all she could ask for. She wasn’t rich, but she wasn’t broke either. She had enough to live off of and that really was all that mattered. ‘Ya I am, but I don’t mind.’ Parker gave a small shrug. She really didn’t mind. Plus she was pretty sure Nick was djing there tonight meaning that she would have something to do after work. Ok not really do. She would just make Nick take her home and somehow convince him to watch some chickflick with her while she fell asleep. It usually always worked and it didn’t take too much convincing, which was just the way Parker liked it.
