personality » What Mikael shows on the outside and what he really is, is in fact two completely different people. Outside he is a fun loving, exuberant guy with not a care in the world. He is a hard worker, but can play just as hard, partying into the early hours of the morning. He can survive on a few hours of sleep, but becomes a total grouch as the day wears on. He hides his true nature because he is scared of judgement and what people will think of him. He actually has a really low self esteem and needs constant affirmation. He does seem to make friends easily, but relationship wise, he tends to shy away from any sort of affection outside of his family. On his off days then he seeks solitude with his horse or somewhere where he can just play guitar in peace and quiet. Mikael doesn't get angry over petty things, but he does lose is temper when needed. He doesn't like fighting, so will also try to avoid situations.

[/font][/center]appearance » Mikael stands at about 1.89 meters. His blonde hair, lanky but slightly muscular build and blue eyes all come from his Swedish ancestry. His hair is wavy, and usually just brushed back, but by the end of a day it's hanging in his face revealing the darker undertones of blonde. His clothing style is more comfort than impressive. Stonewashed jeans, cotton shirt and paddock boots is what he will wear for work, but when he feels like it then he will get dressed to the nines. For him that is really just smart casual. Jeans and a button down shirt with a blazer. Unless he is forced to, he will not wear a suit. No way and no how, nobody can get him into those offending black penguin suits. He has no piercings, but he does have a tattoo of the elvish number nine on his left wrist (He is a Lord of the Rings fanatic).

life history » Mikael has always lived in the area of Cold Springs, a small town in Australia. He attended Liddell Hill high school and is now fourth year varsity. Just because he lived here for his whole life doesn't mean that he doesn't have an interesting history. His mom is Australian and his dad Swedish. They met on a tour of Egypt and have never looked back since. As far as Mikael knows, they didn't get married until after he was born, mainly because his grandparents forced it on them. His dad moved to Australia and started a business specialising in steel works. It was a rocky start, and for the best of ten years of his life there was enough to get by and not spend on small luxuries. His grandparents from his mother's side introduced him to horses when he was five and he has never looked back since. They paid for his riding lessons and everything else that went with it. Mainly because his sister never was interested in horses, choosing to spend her time with her nose stuck in a book.
When Mikael was ten his father's business struck it lucky and soon there was too much of everything. It was a less than pleasurable time because all of a sudden his father went from spending time with the family to spending more time at the office. Their mother tried her best, but Mikael wanted the old life back. When he was eleven it turned out that his father was having an affair, and his parents were on the brink of divorce. It was a very confusing time for Mikael. He was old enough to understand what could happen and the consequences there of. He put all his time into his school work, making sure that he didn't demand too much of his parents time. The best was the time spent at the stables, and once again thanks to his grandparents, he had his own horse.
Time flew, and Mikael's parents didn't get divorced thankfully, but there had always been the doubt in the back of his mind of what his father might be doing when 'working late'. It was in high school that he experimented a bit more with life. He also discovered his sexuality, but never told anyone about it except his sister. His mom might have been okay with it, but his dad would have been highly disappointed in him. It wasn't something that he could turn on and off, so he just went out with girls for one big act.
Mikael was 18 when he discovered Ace and Case. He was volunteering at a rescue center when a day came that the confiscated horses were brought in. They were skin and bones, almost like the walking dead. Mikael worked with the horses, willing to do anything for them, and this was also when he decided to become an equine vet. With his parents permission he adopted the two, and four years of hard work have gotten the horses back to where they are today.
He met Kurt at the stables he was was working at as a stablehand, and it turned into a whirlwind romance. Nothing ever seemed like it would break these two apart, but not two months into the relationship, Mikael was diagnosed with a rare form of Leaukeamia and was given seven months to live unless he got a bone marrow transplant. It seemed that all was lost six months in, but Mikael's father finally got tested and was a match. Mikael is now busy recovering from that. Kurt also proposed to him. Mikael just felt the need to leave Australia and now finds himself in Texas, namely Addison with a cat, dog, and two horses. Kurt would follow him at a later stage.
