personality » Ryder is a relatively down to earth kind of guy, but out on the football field he is a bit of a beast, and loves to hit guys as hard as he is capable which makes him a fantastic blocker, despite his lack in the weight department that you would normally expect from a defensive football player. He loves animals, and almost always has one with him wherever he goes, despite the protestes of business managers. He is extremely tolerant of everyone, but also very defensive of the people that he cares about, especially those friends which he has known for a very long time. He tends to dislike guys who fall into the "man whore" category, so they should usually try to avoid him... and the girls which he cares for.

life history » Ryder was born and raised in Addison, one house down from Brittany Hardwick. His dad was a dentist, and his mom a nurse at the hospital. When he was 14, they found out that his dad was cheating with his hygienist, and the marriage was promptly ended, his dad moved out, and ended up marrying his receptionist, who it turned out he had also been sleeping with. Ryder was really pissed off at his dad and hasn't spoken to him since and refused to even attend the wedding. He vented all his frustration to Brittany and the two of them got to be pretty close. When he started high school he still had a lot of anger revolving from his parents divorce, so when they suggested he join the football team, he jumped at the opportunity to kock people around.

The coach wanted him to be a receiver simply because he wasn't exactly "large enough" to be a blocker, but when he couldn't catch or carry a football to save his life they started looking for other positions. When one of their blockers sprained his ankle, and Ryder was the only guy tall enough to fill in, they put him in the line, and were quite surprised by how easily he took out a player nearly twice as large as him. He was officially put into the lineup at that point and there was no going back. He was tall enough to face off against a larger player, and fast enough to get around them to the quarterback if need be. His goal on the team was to keep anyone and everyone from touching his quarterback, and doing his absolute best to get to theirs.

Having an outlet for his anger now, he was a much happier person and started working at the zoo during the summer and on weekends. While feeding the leopards one particular day he spotted his dad and his new wife with their two kids and for a moment forgot to pay attention, at which point one of the leopards decided he looked like he would make as good a meal as any and decided to begin gnawing on him rather than the meat they were being fed. Needless to say, that only gave him more to hate his dad for, so when he recovered from his injuries, he came back with more of a vengeance on the team than he'd had before, earning himself a spot in the starting lineup.

He is a junior this year and still works at the zoo and plays on the team. He has no aspirations for college as he is over the notion of school and has no chance of being large enough to make it onto a college football team.
