the STARS the MOON, they have all been BLOWN OUT ++ 3:35 AM.
At least, that was where the hands on her wristwatch were pointing. She was pretty sure this wasn't true though, considering Vintage Brew had a small line of people picking up coffees to get them through the morning. A slim, unpainted nail tapped the face of the watch, as if hoping to pump life back into it. Freida made a mental note to get it fixed, and put her hand back into the pocket of her sweater. A quick glance around revealed a wall clock in the shop, it was ticking gleefully and said 7:45 AM. Freida mentally winced, Cosmic would be waiting for her to arrive quite literally right now. With her clock not working, her alarm hadn't gone off at seven like it was supposed to. She'd have to get an apple from the case of baked goods to make up for the late time.
"Next please?"
Freida blinked, and realized the barrista was waiting for her to order her drink. Without glancing at the menu, she smiled half heartedly at the younger girl.
"Just a 16 ounce regular, black please...nothing in it."
The girl too, made a fake smile and said with false happiness, "Coming right up!"
"Oh, and one of those apples."
She said quickly, gesturing to the case even though the girl knew where the apples were. She nodded, and reached into the case to grab one. She handed it to Freida in exchange for the ten dollar bill Freida held out.
The exchange made, Freida stepped aside to wait, tapping her fingers against her leg.

now we're too far gone, hope is such a waste. - - - - - - - - - - Lessons didn't start until later in the morning, but she still had her own two horses to deal with and a school horse that needed a pro ride because he was being a little shit. Leaning forward as she drove along, she grabbed her cell phone off the dash board. Hitting the speed dial, she waited patiently for one of the grooms to pick up as she drove with the other hand. One of the main stable hands answered, and she quickly asked that Dime and Tiny were waiting for her tacked up, preferably Tiny being lunged first. The order would be an easy enough request considering there was hardly anyone out at this hour, and all the barn chores would have been done earlier. Hanging up her phone, she managed to shove it into the pocket of her breeches. Pulling in to the coffee shop, she grabbed a twenty dollar bill from her purse and wandered in. She was quite the fashion statement, she had just pulled random things on this morning not wanting to wake her boyfriend up. It ended up being a new pair of knee high boot socks, her breeches and a pink polo. Her belt had been slung over the doorknob and the shoes she had picked had just been laying by the front door. Not that anyone would really notice once she had her tall boots on, but those were at the barn sine she was too lazy to bring them home. Brown hair fell over her shoulders, and she pushed it behind her ear. Sighing softly, she stood in line patiently and looked up at the menu. What did she want for breakfast today? It had become a routine for her, going to the coffee shop every morning on the way to work. She always got a latte with a caramel shot, and then some sort of baked goods.
It wasn't the healthiest, but she managed.
Finally it was her turn, the young girl just stared at her blankly. Glancing at the array of baked goods, she decided on a cinnamon bun. "Hi there... could I get a medium latte with a caramel shot, and a cinnamon bun?" She asked, gesturing to the baked goods. She threw her twenty down, and waited for her change and her cinnamon bun. They didn't need to tell her where to go to wait for her drink. Her cell phone vibrated in her pocket, not paying attention to where she was going she pulled it out and read the text message from one of her students asking what time their lesson was at. Trying to stay out of the way, she took another step back while she pushed her phone back in her pocket, she'd call her later. Bumping into someone behind her, she jumped forward slightly and spun around. "Oh, gosh. I'm so sorry, I totally wasn't paying attention," she said quickly, brown eyes widened slightly with concern. She noted the girl was wearing breeches and boots. "Hey... do you ride at Crossfire Farms?" She asked lightly, trying to forget the fact she pretty much just stepped on the kids feet.

Mornings sucked, plain ole sucked, even to the glittering fairy of wonder as she managed to stumble out of her blue VW bug with the peeling paint and the dented fender. Peering down at it, Elly kicked the the tire with the tip of her boot. Yep, it was getting flat again. Lovely. It seemed to be doing that a lot lately though she couldn't tell what she had done to it to make it that way. Neither could she fix it so that was ok too -- she'd just have to find some guy to take a look at it for her.
Thing was though... she didn't know anybody. Least not yet.
Sighing, she slipped in through the open window and pulled out her wallet, careful not to tip any of the clutter off the drink holder and the middle console, a poorly assorted mixture of everything she had acquired in the last year since she had gotten her drivers license. The My Little Pony bobble-head and the flower beads hanging from the rearview only just the beginning of the clutter in Elly's car and in her life. Then again, thank goodness she didn't know anyone yet, they might just think her some sort of insane hoarder with all her junk gathered and strewn about with no real order or purpose. But as she saw it, she lived in her car so it was nobodies business what her car looked like. So with a gentle push back, she removed herself from the window of the bug and found her way into the coffee house. A very remarkable thing for Elly; her airhead floating above the clouds even this early in the morning and her attention span the width of two pennies stacked together on a cold winter's day.
To her surprise, the place was actually far from dead. That managed to bring a smile to her face even if the bag's under her eyes had removed it earlier that morning. She even found a grin for the lady behind the counter who looked like a half-dead sour-puss at a Pacer's game.
"Iced Latte, please. Extra ice and 2 shots of expressooo", she hummed like an overexcited window AC. "And one of those huge Spunkmeyer Muffin's with the oat's on top. Clint adores those things." The girl looked at her with eyes of indifference as she was paid the correct amount to the T, but of course, Elly was a million miles away already thinking about what the day would hold for her instead of actually focusing on anything else inparticular.
She was so far away that she didn't notice the girl come back with her drink or her muffin. "Hello?" "Mmm?" The girl gestured to the objects on the counter, indifference replaced with frustration and irritation. "Sorry!" She carefully gathered the item's in her hands and stuck the straw in her mouth just long enough to take a long drink and see a fender-bender of people waiting in line, and being the hall-monitor of the year three years in a row, she was on them like ugly on an ape. "Everything ok?" she asked, tilting her head in a curious fashion.
"You guy's look familiar, have I seen you before?"
ooc: jeez she is annoying. XD
