personality » Noah is a very friendly person. She's always smiling and walks with a bounce in her step, and she always looks approachable. She tends to bite the corner of her bottom lip when she's deep in thought or trying to find a solution to a problem.
She's not 'bubbly-happy' and she's definitely not a girlie-girl in any sense of the word. Noah is a tomboy who loves to get out and 'get muddy'. She can and does clean up nicely, though, and she does like to shop. Noah isn't scared to get her hands dirty, and she's a very hard worker.
Noah does have a sarcastic, extremely playful side to her that comes out when she's in the presence of someone she knows really well. Overall, she's a very kind girl who doesn't take shit from anyone. Being raised with several rowdy older brothers, Noah learned early on that if she didn't get tough enough to 'hang with the big boys', she'd get hurt.
WE'LL TAKE CONTROL OF THE WORLD,
appearance » With naturally brown hair that is constantly dyed blonde and hazel eyes set into a heart-shaped face, Noah is quite pretty. She's fairly short, standing at only 5"4, and has a slender build. She has a lightly tanned complexion and full, smiling lips usually decorated in a light pink lip-gloss.
If one were to look closely, they'd see several small, light scars on her arms. Contrare to the rumors that went around about her being a cutter back in high school, the remnants of the old injuries are actually from a lifetime around horses. Noah has been caught up in all sorts of fencing material, at some point or another... barbed wire, hot-wire, hog-fencing, etc...
As far as her style of clothing goes, Noah can usually be found in button-down t-shirts, fitted t-shirts, and hip-hugging jeans and cowboy boots. When she rides, though, she dresses discipline-appropriate. She does like jewelry, and can always be found wearing something shiny, be it a simple necklace or lots of bangles around her wrists, etc…

LIKE IT'S ALL WE HAVE TO HOLD ON TO,
medical history » Noah is allergic to strawberries. She's caught the flu three times in her life (and hopes she'll never get it again). She's been fairly lucky when it comes to broken bones in that she's only ever broken her pointer-and-index fingers on her left hand.
criminal history » Noah is pretty careful about following the law. She's been pulled over twice for speeding and once because the brake-lights on her horse-trailer weren't working. She also got a DUI when she was twenty-one, but she hasn't drank enough to get drunk since then.
life history » Noah comes from a pretty well-to-do family. She was born in Texas, actually, and spent the first ten years of her life in Austin.
Noah was born in the Fall of the year, when the leaves were just beginning to turn. She was born, as most infants are, in a hospital, with her father in attendance while her aunt and uncle waited anxiously in the waiting room with her three older brothers, Daniel, Craig, and Jase. She was born a few weeks early, and so was kept in the hospital until she was deemed big and healthy enough to go home with her family. Throughout her first year of life, she visited the doctor on a monthly basis to ensure her continued health and to keep sure that she was growing and catching up to other babies her age.
Noah's parents were quite indulgent in their children. When her brother, Jase, decided that he wanted a motorcycle, he got one built specifically for kids. When her other two brothers decided they wanted to play tee-ball, they got to. When Noah decided she wanted to take gymnastics she was allowed to. Thus it was no surprise that when she and her brothers decided they wanted to ride horses after coming home from riding at their aunt and uncle's house one sunny afternoon when they were five and eight, their parents signed them all up for lessons the very next day. Their only rule was that they had to keep their grades up in school, and after letting her grades slip once, Noah never let it happen again, as it got her grounded from riding for two weeks!
Noah and her brothers took riding lessons at a local Eventing barn. It wasn't long, though, before Noah and her oldest brother Daniel were the only Anderson siblings still taking lessons, as her other brothers quit after coming into the opinion that english riding and the english-styled riding clothes were "for girls".
Even though she begged for a horse of her own and asked for one every year for her birthday and Christmas, Noah's parents felt as though it would be more beneficial for the girl to take lessons instead of owning her own mount. After-all, buying a horse would be a big and expensive leap and her parents weren't sure if Noah's horseback-riding was just a passing hobby or an actual passion. For the next few years, Noah took lessons diligently, gaining more experience with every ride and showing in Eventing whenever her instructor asked her to show one of the school horses or one of her own horses. It was during one of her lessons that she broke two of her fingers. While cantering, the gelding she was riding spooked and spun around, causing Noah to topple off. She would have been fine if the horse hadn't have stepped on her fingers. She didn't let the broken bones keep her from riding, though, and was back up on the horses back only a day after getting the bones set.
When she was seven, her parents decided to have one more child. On a chilly October morning, Noah's only sister, Kora, was welcomed into the family. Kora's addition was a welcome one to Noah, who for years had dreamed of a sister, but the age difference proved to be just a little too much, and while they were friendly with each other, as the years passed, Noah and her sister were never extremely close, sharing nothing except for a love of horseback-riding.
When Noah was ten, though, her parents made the decision to move to Georgia, where her grandparents lived, so Noah said a tearful goodbye to all the lesson horses she'd ridden since she was five and to her instructor. She settled into her grandparents home quickly enough, though. Her grandparents lived on a lot of land, and after finding an old barn on the property, as well as a halfway-decayed fence, Noah began masterminding to get her own horse. Of course, she was once again taking riding lessons, but this time, instead of just Eventing, she also took western riding lessons twice a week after school (joined by her brothers who had quit takin lessons in Texas, as they considered western riding a 'manly' sport… and a lot of the teenaged girls from their school also took lessons), and focused more on Showjumping and Cross-Country separately.
When Noah turned twelve, her parents surprised her and her siblings with their own horses. Jace was gifted with a stocky, 14-3 hand, nine year old chestnut Quarterhorse gelding that was called 'Ricci'. The horse suited him, as he was learning Reining under the guidance of an instructor and the Quarterhorse was bred and trained for the same discipline. Craig, who preferred to just trail-ride and play around, was given his 'dream horse' (a ten year old, 15-3 hand 'accident' Thoroughbred/x/Mustang cross gelding named 'Outlaw', whom he rode at lessons). Daniel, seeing as how he rode both english and western and was older and could handle a more spirited horse, was bought an OTTB that he could, with the help of an instructor, bring along however he chose. Their littlest sister, who had just started taking lessons, was given an older, bombproof Welsh Pony gelding. Noah, on the other hand, was gifted with a horse better suited for showing english. Her horse was a fifteen year old, 16 hand Oldenburg mare that was bay in color, called 'Mimi'. Mimi was a part of Noah's life until she developed arthritis six years later and could only be used for light rides. Noah made the saddening decision to sell her wonderful mare to a couple who wanted an older, well-broke horse for their horse-crazy daughter to learn on. Really, if you asked her, the only 'good' thing that came out of that year was that her oldest brother married his high-school sweetheart. Noah was one of the bridesmaids in the wedding.
She took a few months break, but eventually returned to the equine-world, searching for her next mount. Noah, being eighteen at this time, found it hard to juggle riding lessons with her online college courses, now that she was out of high school and attending college and working full-time, but she managed. She was (and still is) glad that her parents were (are) paying for her college. It took her several months, but she eventually found the right horse. Noah made monthly payments on the Thoroughbred filly she fell in love with and by the time the buckskin sabino filly turned two years old, they belonged to each other. Later that same year, her brother proposed to his girlfriend and they married. Noah was the maid-of-honor at her brother's wedding.
While her own horse was in training, Noah was lucky enough to befriend a lady who boarded a horse at the stable she was keeping her filly at, but didn't ride. Noah gladly took over riding the American Warmblood mare, who was named 'Tressa'. She was allowed to exercise and show the horse because the woman who owned her wasn't interesting in riding, only grooming and 'visiting', and there was no point in wasting the mare's potential. For two years Noah rode Tressa, until the mare was sold… though by that time she was also riding and showing her own young mare.
Noah now was working two jobs (the main one being a secretary for the local bank and the second one being a part-time trainer at the stables where she took lessons at), and was still doing online college courses, planning on majoring in Equine Veterinary Medicine after getting her Associates Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Science. Even though she was super busy with real life now, Noah always made time for riding and when her nephews and niece were born, she made time for them as well.
Noah made the huge decision to move back to her home-state just a few months ago. Her parents helped her make the move, paying for a small apartment for her until she found a job and also paying for the first few months board for her mare in advance. She's currently just finished her Bachelors Degree in Science (already having finished her Associates Degree) and has recently transferred into a Vet School for the next few years, taking online courses. Her plan after vet school includes more college to become a certified Equine Chiropractor.

barn name » Nimue
gender » Mare
breed » Thoroughbred
height » 16-3 hh
age » 8
color » Buckskin sabino with four stockings and a blaze face
discipline » Eventer
personality » Nimue is a very gentle mare who loves carrots and apples. She’s very easily managed most of the time and is usually one of the first horses to greet you in the pasture. She’s well-trained and patient enough that a child could ride and lead her, and she’s an accomplished eventer. She, like all horses, does have her ‘bad days’ every now and then and gets moody and irritable, but for the most part she’s a good horse.
She doesn’t like fly-spray, so wears fly-bands in the warmer months, and she’s not a fan of being stalled for long periods of time. Nimue isn’t a kicker, but if she doesn’t take to another horse, she will pin her ears and snap and squeal, like most mares do when faced with another equine they dislike. When greeting another equine, Nimue tends to get excited and paw the air, squealing while she does so.
Overall, she’s a good mare, and what with her being almost full-term with her current (and only) pregnancy, she’s become even more affectionate than usual. Nimue was bred just under ten months ago to a 17 hand true-black Thoroughbred stallion. She’s due to foal in about a month and is big enough that it looks almost like she’s carrying twins, but thankfully a vet-check revealed that she’s just cooking one rather large youngster.
