Peter walked through the wrought iron gate into the City Park in East Addison holding tightly onto the dark green leash of Storm his black spotted grey great dane seeing eye dog. Peter of course couldn't see any of these detail but remembered their descriptions from his parents. He smiled and said to Storm, "Feels like it's going to a nice warm day today Storm"His comment was one of sarcasm as it was at that particular moment down right freezing for some reason but it promised to be a nice windy and cold day with a possible chance of showers.
Peter felt Storm start to pull him in a different direction then the one they'd just being in. Trusting Storm's instincts and training he followed him he said, "Storm you better be moving me out of somebody's way and not dragging me into a pole or something I won't be happy if you do" it seemed today would be one of rare days when Storm got distracted and let Peter run into something well someone more like it.
Peter stumbled backwards as he crashed into some he landed with a thump on the ground and once he'd sat himself up said, "Sorry! I was hoping i wouldn't crash into something but it seems I did sorry about that really"

Ari rushed across the park, freezing cold hugging to her jacket. I wished it would have been a nice day today, but it decided not to be! not great having a horrible windy day, which is freezing and due to rain! I was heading across to the cafe just down from the park, I was supposed to be meeting a friend there.
As I walked i had no thoughts, i was lonely. Not many people were around right now. In a way it was creepy seeing the park so empty, rather like a ghost place. As i walked i spotted a person walking along, in the opposite direction to me, but close. He had a dog with him, it looked so cute and lovely! At least he had company.
My pocket vibrated and the noise rung out, it was a cheerful sound but it didn't fit the day. I tugged it out of my pocket and looked at the screen, it was Penelope. My friend the person i was supposed to me meeting. I picked up the call and she spoke, scrappy and quietly. The call ended after a couple of minutes and i sighed and shoved my phone back in my pocket. Great i thought to myself just what i needed, coming out for absolutely no reason at all.
I walked with my head down, i was so close to the cafe now there was no point turning and going back so may aswell go there for a coffee anyway. One moment i was walking the next i whacked hard into someone or something. I heard the person thump on the floor and looked down. "sorry, i didn't mean to run into you. Are you ok?" I said rushing in a big mouthful.

From the sound of the person he'd just bumped into's voice they were a girl he laughed softly and said, "Nah it's alright I ran into you really my dog is supposed to guide me out of peoples way and not directly into their paths" Peter hauled himself to his feet using a bench near by as support for a moment before he whistled and said, "Storm! where'd you go you rascal"
Peter noted that he could hear sound and feel the vibrations in the ground as Storm came charging back towards him. He shook his head and patted Storm on his back and said, "You naughty rascal! what were you doing chasing squirrels instead of doing your duty? naughty!"He laughed good naturally at Storm as all Great Danes were had a little bit of a short attention span but... who for his credit was still a young dog and still had a little bit learn in the ways of being a seeing eye dog.
Peter turned his attention back to the girl and stuck his hand out and said, "I'm Peter by the way and this rascal here is Storm" He picked up Storms leash once more and held onto the handle attached to Storms halter/slash banner thing he wore.

Ari watched the guy, he looked nice, hopefully he was. When the guy said it was his fault, i felt bad, it was sort of my fault. If i'd been looking where i was going i wouldn't have knocked him over. "No it wasn't your fault, it was mine. If i'd been looking where i was going then i would have seen you and not knocked you over, sorry" I explained to him. I realized just then that it was the exact guy that i'd seen before. Except i swear that he had a dog with him before.
As the guy got up I saw he reach for a branch as support, i wasn't entirely sure and didn't want to judge him or ask him and sound rude but, was he blind? I didn't really know at this moment, but wasn't going to mention it because i didn't want to upset the guy. I was the dog come charging back, he looked so sweet, adorable and such fun.
As Peter introduced himself i smiled and shook his hand he held out. "Hi, I'm Ari! I love you dog he's so sweet" I said stroking him on the head.

(I'm going to post in first person now cause it's easier lol)
I adjusted my position so that I wasn't standing smack dab in the centre of the walk way and said, "it's alright I run into loads of things all the time even though Storm is supposed to guide me away from people but oh well this has a been a bit of entertainment for us both don't you think?" I smiled and glanced around even though I couldn't see I could tell that the park was almost empty from how quiet it was maybe it was too cold for all of the other people around here.
I smiled and said, "Nice to meet you Ari and thanks he's usually better then this but I think he's a bit too overly excited from all the time he's spent sitting around my house with me while we were moving here with my family" I shrugged and patted Storm's back he was just the right height that I didn't need to lean down too much to be able to pet him a feat I really enjoyed about especially when I was feling lazy I could hold him let him drag me around the house.
Storm at the moment was sitting and enjoying the attention he was getting he really was still a little bit of a puppyish dog but it made it easier to have fun around him his red banner declaring him as seeing dog was a little small for him. I should have gotten him a larger size a long time go but I had been to busy with moving to care about his banner.

(ok cool,lol)
Ari smiled gently towards the guy happily, I listened the the guy talking taking in every word making sure she didn't miss a single thing she said. "So i'm guessing you must be used to running into people, it must be funny at times. Your dog probably just interested in everyone, i love dogs like that, there always the most fun and spirited dogs you find around. They play more and make you laugh, mysterious dogs yet they're almost perfect with that type of personality" I explained in a cheerful voice rather slowly, like time was going to stop with the perfection of the dog Peter had.
I was sort of in a dream world at this moment, thinking of all the perfect dogs around. I snapped out of it hearing the voice of Peter, i came back to the real world and what was happening right now. "It's nice to meet you to Peter, dogs definitely love new places, someone different for them to find out about and have a sniff around" I smiled as I spoke this. I definitely knew now that Peter was blind but that didn't bother me at all, it's not like her was a different person. He would be exactly the same, he was a nice guy to talk to.
I was still patting and giving Peter's dog Storm my attention, stroking him over. He seemed to be enjoying it. After a little while of petting Storm i stood up and stood there. I remembered why i had come across the park, i was going to meet an old friend at the cafe, why not go to the cafe with a new friend. "Hey Peter, I was actually just heading over to the cafe to meet a friend, but they're ill so I don't really have anyone to meet there. Would you like to have a coffee with me?" I asked, it was just as a friendly thing, i didn't really want to stand out here any longer, it was freezing and i was getting colder by the minute.

I smiled and laughed a little bit before I said, "Yeah it happens sometimes not very often but it does happen Storm's still a bit of a puppy so he's got to get distracted by somethings at least once or twice it's what puppies do and Yeah it is funner it makes having to live with him 24/7 a lot more entertaining and definitely he loves to explore he just doesn't give me a warning sometimes when he goes to stop paying attention and start wandering off we've been around each other since he was a few days old and I was about three I picked him out because he was the only one out of the litter that wasn't running around like a lunatic he'd follow me around and he actually trained himself a little bit barking whenever i'd start to wander into things I figured out that if he barked I was going to run into the wall or something if by a miracle I could see I think i'd rather be blind I was born legally blind and it's all I've ever know it be a little scary to be able to see" I blushed at how much I was rambling on
I ran my free hand through my hair before sticking it in my pocket let my mind wander off slightly before I snapped back to reality when Ari asked if I wanted to join her and her friend for coffee I shrugged and said, "Sure I could use with another cup of coffee and I have feeling my toes are going fall off because of how cold thy if I don't get somewhere warm soon"

I listened to Peter, entertained by his story with his gorgeous dog Storm, who seemed so lovely. A dog like Storm is a dog i would call a perfect dog and Storm was definitely the perfect example. "Yeah puppies love fun, living with new born ones 24/7 is quite hard, entertaining at times and such fun and a laugh watching them figuring out new things. I love puppies but they make you so tired looking after them, but it's all worth it. It funny though when your dog just wonders off, it's an adventure for both of you really!" I grinned, i remembered when i was younger and our dog had puppies, me and my siblings used to have the time of our lives looking after them, laughing at them investigating things they found weird. "I love it when i see dogs exploring new things. They look so confused sometimes, it makes me laugh when they see new things. Puppies are all about learning though, Storm is definitely perfect for you if he did that when you went to pick a dog, it shows that you were definitely perfect. It shows a sign of love, so special and rare to see a dog do that, that's when you know a friendship will last forever, no matter what!" I exclaimed happily thinking of perfect times when there was nothing else i'd rather be doing.
I watched Peter smiling, he was a nice guy as a good friend to chat to. "Me too, lets go then!" I said turning around and smiling, "This way!" I said cheerfully walking down the hill towards the park, my toes were freezing and i could barely feel them, i'm glad that we were going down to the cafe. I couldn't wait to have a hot drink and feel warmth once again because right now i was frozen.

I nodded and smiled before I said, "Definitely he was a special case and Definitely I can't imagine not being around him 24/7 i'm so used to having him around that I get a bit panicky when I don't know where he is" I rubbed Storm under his chin and shivered as a particularly cold and harsh breeze came through and ruffled my hair. I smiled softly as I remembered wandering around my house waiting for Storm's warning barks as I wandered through the house.
I smiled and clicked my tongue and said, "Ok Storm Follow" I followed Storm's lead holding his leash and his handle bar. I couldn't help my imagine the nice warm cup of coffee waiting for me at the cafe where Ari's friend was waiting or her to arrive and I hoped the cafe would let me and storm in I had , had some trouble in the past with getting managers and other customers to let me have Storm in a store especially because of his large size. .

Ari smiled happily as she listened, trying to ignore the bitter cold. It was freezing and she was frozen. "He's definitely special, you must treasure him so much! I love to have a good like him. He's great. don't blame you getting panicked, i'd be the same" She replied back understanding just how he must feel about Storm.
Ari stroked Storm calmly just as Peter, she smiled as she stroked Storm. She walked down with Peter, Storm looked so full of life and happy, he was such a great dog. Ari looked around the park as she walked, there was no else about at all, just Peter, her and his gorgeous dog Storm. It was so strange seeing the park so deserted. It was ghostly and lonely without other people around.
When she turned her head back in the direction she was heading she realized that there was a huge hold a couple of feet away. "There a big hold a couple of feet away, i'll make sure you don't step in it. Although Storm's so great he'll guide you around it" Ari exclaimed happily. They were almost at the end of the park, near the cafe. She was so looking forward to a nice warm drink and maybe even a muffin.

I smiled and said, "Yeah he's my furry four legged pair of eyes he's got a funny hip so he can't run very well so when we run I sort of help him out so i'm his guide for running and he's my guide for seeing and thank you for the warning" I turned and started following Ari's footsteps and ran a hand over Storm's head as we walked carefully around the hole I smiled and patted Storm on his head as said, "Good boy buddy good.." I blinked and waited until I could focus in Ari's footsteps coming from in front of us.

Ari smiled and watched Peter and Storm together, they seemed like they were one person and always would be. They were the perfect team. "That's such a nice thing to have with Storm, you guys make the perfect team then!" Ari grinned happily. That's ok for the warning, anytime" she grinned smiling happily, they were so sweet together plus a great team.
When she turned Peter was following in my footsteps, she didn't mind. Ari watched Storm lead Peter around the hold, great dog! she thought to herself. We reached the bottom of the park and Ari approached the gate. She unlatched the hook and carefully swung the gate over. "Here, just walk through there and then i'll shut the gate behind you!" Ari explained the Peter, She waited patiently for him making sure he got through the gate ok without hurting himself.
Ari didn't want Peter to hurt himself and it be her fault, but Ari knew that Storm would look after him because he was such a great dog.
