Khaleesi had just moved into the town of Addison. And so far she did not see anything she did not like. The environment was great, the people where great, even if she had not met many, they all seemed to be a good, and happy group of people, from what she could tell.
Her blonde hair hung down her shoulders in loose curls and her make up was dark, yet simple. Leesi had heard of a spring barn party happening over at the main barn, what better way to get yourself known in a community than going to a party right? She was not really one to party much, for she spent most of her time training her horses for the races, plus parties just weren't really her thing, to many bad things happened at parties. But this one was different, it was an all age party, hopefully meaning less bad karma.
Khaleesi wore some black slim fit jeans, a cute black top and a red jacket to clash with her dark colors. She normally liked to wear black, she thought to it as bringing out her complexion, even though she was very fair skinned, the black looked nice against her tone. But even with so much black, she always had to wear something with color, to make herself look not so, whats the word? Dead.
The girl was small, she was 5'3 and weighed about 115 pounds, but don't get me wrong, she is one tough gal who doesn't take crap from horses, as well as humans. Even the smallest of packages can carry the biggest punch was the way she liked to look at it. Sure she was on the skinny side, but jockeys ad to keep a maintained diet, plus most of her weight was muscle.
The air was brisk and nice out due to spring time rolling in. Spring had to be one of her favorite times of the year, baby horses, and the days weren't to hot or too cold, meaning she could train for longer hours of the day. The sun had just set as Leesi climbed out of her truck and headed to the group. There was a fire and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The girl smiled as she walked over to fill up a plastic party cup with some soda that was provided. She walked over and sat on a log near the fire and took a sip of her soda.
She looked around at all of the people, she recognized some of them by faces, but she did not actually know any of them personally. She wondered if she sould introduce herself or wait a little bit to see if anyone seemed to spark an interest in her first, and seemingly enough she chose the second one. Sitting tight, Leesi still glanced over the crowd, seeing if anyone would catch her eye.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 101010; border: #262626 solid 10px; width: 515px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;]It was good when Charlie’s nights off work fell on events like these, even more so when Lena also had the night off, it got them out of the house and doing something relaxed for once, and Jessie and Jack as well, not to mention Sam now that she was in their care. So they had all gone to Crossfire for the spring party that night, coming over early to feed the horses before the party actually started, and now here they were, night having fallen a while ago but there was plenty of lighting around that had been set up for the night so the failing natural light wasn’t a problem.
Lena had gone to talk to someone, leaving him with Jessie and Jack for the moment. He took them over to the drinks table to get them both something to drink, and something for himself as well, before heading over to the fire with both blonde children to sit for a while. Although, as was the case with most young children, they didn’t want to sit there for long after they had, especially when they spotted some other kids around their own age who were around the barn often.
“Charlie, can we go play?”
“Yeah, sure, just don’t go getting into any trouble,” he told them, taking their now empty cups off his niece and nephew, setting them down by his feet while he watched them take off towards their friends, leaning forward so his elbows were resting on his knees, drink still clutched in one hand, blue eyes gazing around the vicinity. There were a few people he recognised around, of course, he had been in Addison a long while now so he knew most of the people who boarded their horses or at least rode at Crossfire, and from work, of course – whether they worked with him or he had run into them while on the job. But right now it was just himself and a petite blonde woman by the fire, giving her a polite, friendly smile as their eyes accidentally caught each other’s as they were both glancing around. - - - - - - - - - - my heart wasn't enough, so far from where i used to be when she was mine, everything was easy everything was simple, never felt so good when she was mine, i wanted to remember, never missed a second, never wish i could forget, forget when she was mine |

Khaleesi put her hands over the fire before catching a gentleman looking at her. He smiled and she returned her white smile back to him in return. He looked sort of familiar as if she had seen him in town or something but she wasn't to sure.
She wanted to get up and walk over and sit next to him, maybe finally make a few friends in this town. After all her training took up most of her life, she hadn't much time for "friends". Leesi took a deep breath and stood up. She walked over to the man and sat down next to him. She didn bother to ask if the seat was taken, and she as sure if it was he would probably say something to her.
She smiled again and turned to face him holding out her hand for him to shake it. "Khaleesi" she said her name with her strong french accent. Her accent was so strong due to the fact that Leesi had only lived in america for a few months now. She had only moved here to pursue her racing. "I hope me sitting here isn't to much of a bother" she chuckled slightly before turning back to look at the fire.
It was an awfully nice night tonight. A perfect night for a spring party, and for making friends. Which Khaleesi hoped to achieve pretty soon. Khaleesi's mind wondered off a couple times to think of her recent prodigy racehorse, Rain Dancer, AKA Snowball. He was still young, only 4 years old, with one year of training under his belt, he had started training a year late, due to the fact the Leesi only got him when he was three from an abusive home. Snowball is a very hot headed horse and never fails to give Leesi problems, but yet she still seemed to have a little to much faith him.
The girl shook her head to try and pay more attention to the new guy she had just met.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: 101010; border: #262626 solid 10px; width: 515px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;]After a moment he lifted his drink to take another mouthful, letting his attention wander once he had broken the gaze of the blonde sitting by the fire near him, letting out a content sigh. It was nice to just have a night to sit around and relax for once, he loved his job but he definitely wouldn’t be complaining if he got more time off, sometimes it felt never ending and it felt like he never had time to just sit down and breathe. Hell, he’d been living in Addison for ages now and he still didn’t have that many friends, mostly because his job kept him so busy and half the time a lot of people didn’t want to make friends with a cop, unless they were his co-workers or something.
A movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention, looking up to see that she had moved to sit next to him, straightening himself up and giving her another smile. “Charlie,” he returned her introduction, automatically holding out his hand for her to shake, a product of his upbringing to always be polite, and friendly, and to introduce himself properly. Not to mention that he had never been the shy sort of person to begin with.
“No, it’s fine, the seat’s free,” he told her, shaking his head a little and smiling again when she asked if it was alright if she sat there. Well, there had been nobody sitting there, and he certainly didn’t mind having the company, it beat sitting there by himself until he either decided to go and look for someone he knew, or until somebody he knew found him sitting there. “How long have you been in Addison?” he asked, figuring that he may as well try and make some conversation, and obviously she wasn’t American, the French accent gave that away, so it seemed like a good place to start. - - - - - - - - - - my heart wasn't enough, so far from where i used to be when she was mine, everything was easy everything was simple, never felt so good when she was mine, i wanted to remember, never missed a second, never wish i could forget, forget when she was mine |
