[/style][style=font-family:tahoma; font-size:10px; letter-spacing:0px; color: #6FB0D5; text-align:justify]The past few hours had been a total blur. One moment Parker was standing with Cherise, Tyler, and Nick at the barn party and the next minute she's in Vegas looking for a wedding dress. It really was all sudden and overwhelming, but in a good way. Parker had known she was in love with Nick for ages. He had been her best friend since she was ten and there had always been something different about him. Sure she had boyfriends and other guy friends, but no one had ever really compared to Nick. Not that she ever really let herself see this until she was gone at college and at that point it was moot. But she was back and they had easily fallen back into them. Not that they were never not them. They had still hung out enough when she went to college that nothing changed. Well nothing but the fact that they both realized they loved one another and wouldn't rather be with anyone else. So the second that Nick had mentioned eloping, Parker was on board. Of course the second the plane hit the ground she called her mother who was both happy for them and yet disappointed. She had always liked Nick so that wasn't the problem. She just wished she was there. She made Parker promise that she would let her plan a small ring ceremony and reception for family and close friends. Not wanting to fight with her mother she gave in.
That was the easy part though. Parker had never been one to have girl friends but in that moment she wished she had fifty. She was all on her own figuring out dresses and make up and hair. Nick had it easy. She wished she could just throw on jeans and a t-shirt and leave her hair a mess and that be that. But no matter how much she wanted that, this was her wedding day and she wanted to at least look good for her soon to be husband. So somehow she managed to find a dress. Somehow she managed to figure out how liquid eyeliner worked without looking like she had a black eye. And somehow she managed to make her hair work.
So there she found herself, behind a big oak door waiting for her que, holding a random bunch of flowers that Scott had shoved at her, at five in the morning. She took a few deep breaths and closed her eyes. She was about to be marrying her best friend. A fantasy that had danced around her dreams a lot more likely. But now the dream was a reality and the second she heard the music she would walk through the big doors, a huge grin on her face, and never loosing eye contact with the love of her life.
