TYLER FRANCIS WYLDE ~Take Your Records Take Your Freedom~ The time on Ty's blackberry was reading seven AM. Perfect. The young, fair skinned man stepped out of his black avalanche and closed the door behind him, black fitted jeans with a few holes here and there, black leather belt with his silver rodeo belt buckle. Ty then fixed his red, white and gray plaid shirt, the black muscle shirt and plaid shirt both slightly tucked-in in the front to reveal his buckle. Adjusting the black leather cowboy hat on his head he then walked into the stables, the sun was a bright orange and the air wasn't to cold, but the breath still could be seen when exhaling. Stepping into the main hall, Ty pulled a mint out of his pocket and then stopped in front of a stall, the plate reading Ratchet. The large, stocky brute nickered and pranced at the door as he stuck his head out the window and received the mint. Grasping the lead rope off the door, and the black halter that had an extra layer of wool like material on the nose, to help the young stallion focus. Stepping inside the stall, Ty placed the halter on his horse and clipped the lead rope, clucking lightly to Ratchet as Ty opened the stall door all the way and both horse and rider stepped out into the main hall. Ty picked out Ratchets hooves and then tied the end of the lead rope to the halter, making his own set of reins and leaded the stallion down the hall, the light chime of the spurs on the black cowboy boots as Tyler walked. Once outside Ty led the stallion to an empty pasture and stepped inside, locking the gate behind him as he then pulled himself up onto the stallions back, Ratchet lifted his head high and perked his ears forward and looking out into the snow, a few tree's here and there that they would need to watch out for. With barely any force at all, Ty pressed both legs and Ratchet was off at a high energy trot, more bouncy than the fancy jog they had to do for western eventing.
After a few moments of trotting, Ty asked for a canter and boy did he get one. Ratchet leaped into the air and let out a small neigh as he began to plow through the snow, tossing his head and letting his nostril's flare, his ears perked and he then nickered loudly out into the air, the stallions puff's of smoke from his nostrils caused Ty to chuckle. Holding the reins with one hand as he used the other hand to adjust the hat on his head once more as they made their way around the pasture, Ratchet frolicking like a small colt and Ty keeping him in line when he got too out of hand.

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN It was very early in the morning. 7 am to be exact. It was a little earlier than Charlie would have liked but, if it was to see her mare, Beauty, then she didn't mind so much. It wasn't that she hated mornings, she just liked to sleep more. She had gone to bed a bit later than usual last night. She had been working the night before and it was her turn to close up the shop. A person had come it right before closing time and shopped around for a half hour at least after the regular closing time. It would have been very rude of Charlie to tell the customer to get out but, it wasn't totally out of her nature to drop little hints. She had wanted to go home and get ready for bed. She had a dog at home as well that she needed to tend to. All of that made it so she hadn't gone to bed until 11:30. That wasn't too late for normal people but for those that woke up at 7 o'clock in the morning, it was early.
When she pulled up to the barn, she noticed a few cars there. Some of them she recognized to be long time boarders such as herself and there was one that she didn't recognize. It was a black avalanche. The small framed girl didn't give it much thought. Perhaps someone had just borrowed it or maybe they had just bought it. She stepped out of her black truck and her cowboy boots hit the cold ground with a little thud. The truck was tall and set high off of the ground. There was a little "step" that most trucks had but she never used it.
The weather wasn't too bad, it was chilly and her breath could be seen. She zipped up her brown leather coat and adjusted her cowboy hat before walking inside. Her buckskin quarter horse mare was boarded inside during the winter overnight. It got too cold for the mare ot be outside and Charlie often worried about her freezing to death. As she approached the mare's stall she head a happy whinny from her horse. Charlie smiled as she reached out her hand to pet her. How's my pretty girl this morning? She cooed the mare. Charlie put Beauty's halter on and pulled her out of her stall without much of a fuss. The mare was seven years old and had lived a pretty good life. She went through nothing that would have traumatized her or left her any reason to not trust the girl leading her. Her horse was short, much like herself. The horse was only 14.3 hands tall. Charlie was only 5'2". She hooked the mare up in a cross-tie and began grooming her. The mare instantly relaxed and seemed to be very content. Today was not a "groom all day" kind of day. Charlie wanted to go out and do some pasture riding. She couldn't remember if they were allowed to or not but it sounded fun.
She tacked her pretty mare up with western attire and walked her outside. There was already a boy riding! The horse seemed to be a stallion by the way he acted but she knew some geldings that were a little crazy as well. The horse looked like a fun and exhilarating ride. Charlie had been considering leasing a more "feisty" horse. Beauty was energetic but nothing like this stallion. Charlie stood and watched with her mare as the pair cantered at a fast pace around the pasture.
"Do you mind if I join you? I have a mare but she's good around males." Charlie asked with her southern accent seeping through like honey on biscuits when the pair had calmed down enough and was close enough to hear her ask. TYLER FRANCIS WYLDE ~Take Your Records Take Your Freedom~ Ty had seen the pair but thought they were going to go for a trail ride. However, Ty had been wrong. Ratchet then nickered as he stopped a few feet from the gate and perked his ears and watched the pair. Ty continued to hold the reins with one hand as he adjusted the black leather cowboy hat on his head. Taking in the girl and her mare, boy was this girl country. Ty couldn't keep the grin off his face when she started to slow at the rail. Ty hadn't really paid attention to the ladies around because he had been too busy paying attention to the stallion he was riding. The 15.3 hand high brute tossed his mane and then lowered his head to nibble on the snow, the lead rope coming untied from the end. With a grin, Ty collected the lead rope and kept it on the right side, his right hand holding the lead rope and now a handful of the stallions long, slight wavy mane. Tyler's eyes then looked up from his hand and to the girls face. Boy, was she ever attractive.
At the sound of her voice, Tyler was brought back from his small trance and he then looked to the mare and back at her, the little southern accent was going to kill him. Clearing his throat Ty tipped his hat to her and spoke up, his deep, husky voice rang out into the air, small white puffs escaped through his lips Hello, haha sure you may join us .. I'm Tyler
With that, Tyler kicked Ratchet lightly and the stallion walked on calmly as they passed the gait, knowing that the pair would be joining them. Ratchet was a well behaved horse if you let him get a little energy, although Ratchet wasn't fond of other people he chose to put up with some and just deal with it, although the feed man was becoming to be Ratchets best friend, of course only with hay in his hand. Ty then looked over his shoulder, placing his free hand on the horses rump as he turned in the saddle. Well, on Ratchets bare back to look at her.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ~Take your Memories I Don't Need'em~

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN The boy and the stallion slowed to a stop. The boy seemed a little out of it for some reason. Maybe it was only the cold. Maybe it was the horse he was riding. The boy introduced himself as Ty as he said that it would be fine if she joined them. Charlie smiled sweetly as she introduced herself. "I'm Charlotte but my friends call me Charlie." She normally would have extended a hand but given that they were on opposite sides of the fence and he was mounted and she was on the ground, it would have been an awkward situation. His horse seemed to be interested in Beauty a little bit but she payed him little mind. Her mare was a friendly one and wasn't about to cause any trouble as long as she was given some person space.
The stallion and Ty moved away from the gate at an easy walk. Charlie and Beauty entered the pasture and she locked the gate behind them. Charlie mounted the short quarter horse with ease. She had done it so many times that it was second nature to her. She envied Ty and his horse a little bit. She wished that she would have gone bareback as well but she hadn't thought about it until now.
She saw that he had turned around to see her and she smiled at him. She gave Beauty a gentle squeeze with her legs. Her horse was a reining horse and was used to loping and galloping so the smallest signal could get the mare going. She wanted to do a lap at a walk to get the mare warmed up. In this cold weather, she didn't want to risk injuring her life long friend.
"So, I haven't seen you around much. Are you new to town?" Charlie asked Ty. As a southerner, she was a very social girl and was curious. Her southern accent graced her lips as she spoke to him. Her mare's ears flicked as though she were listening to the conversation. The town had grown some after the word got around about the fantastic competitors that trained and boarded here. A lot of the riders were English riders or in the racing business somehow. It wasn't too long ago that Charlie remembered that western was the main style but times seemed to have changed. Oh well. She was gonna stick with her country ways. She had tried English once but she found western more fulfilling. It was more her style. Her coat and saddle covered her belt buckle but the boots and hat were evidence of her passion for the sport. WORDS 445 TAGGED Ty/Open NOTES Apologies for the lack of capitalization. TYLER FRANCIS WYLDE ~Take Your Records Take Your Freedom~ The young woman took her time getting herself in the pasture and mounted, but when she did Tyler grinned and then felt ratchet stomp his hind as he took a step, obviously wanting to move at a faster pace. As Tyler noticed a tree not to far from them, he signaled for a canter and Ratchet gave him one with little effort. As they approached the tree, Tyler kicked with his left leg gently against the stallion's flank, the stallion quickly picked up speed as they came around the tree and he snorted, as they circled it he then broke from the circle and galloped up the opposite rail from Charlie and her mare. Ty then slowed Ratchet as they reached the gate. As she spoke Tyler kicked Ratchet into a trot to catch her and he then slowed to a walk, riding next to her Yeah, I'm the new face.. Got in yesterday
Tyler's thick, deep voice slightly echoed as they walked. Ratchet, who had been curious about the mare sense the start of their appearance had decided to stretch his neck out to gently graze his nose along the mares, taking in her scent. As the two walked, Ratchet started to relax and snort lightly. Ty hadn't ever really been in a relationship, except for when he was back home. Lauren had been with him for almost a year, but that girl was how he seemed to get into almost all his trouble, she always had something to do with it. Tyler then brought himself to look at Charlie and grin as he then nodded, the silver belt buckle reflected off Ty's face slightly as the sun decided to appear out from behind a cloud. Ty sighed and looked to charlie So .. How long have you been here? oh and its great to meet you Charlie With that Tyler held out his hand and Ratchet slightly lowered his neck as he shook out his mane.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ~Take your Memories I Don't Need'em~

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN Charlie liked to make sure that everything was in order before she mounted her horse. This usually took a minute or two but that was a small price to pay to make sure that the saddle wasn't creased and that everything was in order.
Ty's and his horse went on a speedy canter shortly after she had mounted and started walking her mare. They went around one of the trees in a circle but then broke it and came barreling to the opposite fence that she and her mare had been on. The pair then trotted to catch up. Ty then continued the conversation. He had said that he was new to town in a low echoing voice. He said that he got in yesterday! That was really new. Especially to be already ridding around. Bold was always a good thing. Charlie found herself hanging around those with more outgoing personalities anyway.
He then asked how long she had been here. " Well, this is my hometown so..20 years now," She said light-heartedly, "So if you need a tour guide, I'd be happy to show you around." Ty seemed like a nice guy although she hardly knew him at all. But, he had a horse who was in good condition so that said volumes about his character. Charlie often trusted horse people more than non-horse people. This wasn't an exact science but horse people had something in common with her so she assumed that they were good people.
Ty's stallion stretched out his neck and touched Beauty's nose. The mare wasn't overly happy with the situation but she was tolerating it. She snorted and bobbed her head a little bit but wasn't aggressive to the stallion. "Be nice, Beauty," She said to her mare and then looked to Ty, "Sorry 'bout her. She takes some time getting used to other horses." Charlie said apologetically.
"It's nice to me you too, Ty." She said in response as she reached out her own hand to shake his. As her soft hand met his, she smiled and looked into his eyes. After letting go of the handshake, she patted her horse on the next before continuing their conversation. "So, where you from?" Charlie asked curiously with sweet undertones. She glanced at him before returning her eyes to where she was going. By this time, the had almost made it back to where they had started. Beauty was getting bored of walking, she wanted to go faster and her body language screamed it. As they reached the gate again, Charlie allowed Beauty to go into a slow, controlled trot. Usually, her horse's gates were very fast but Charlie didn't want to speed ahead of the nice boy she had just met. If he started trotting as well then they could go faster. But until then, Beauty would just have to be thankful for what she had.

TYLER FRANCIS WYLDE ~Take Your Records Take Your Freedom~ Being organized wasn't how Tyler kept himself, but he wasn't a total slob either. Tyler let his free hand set on his leg as they then reached the gate he then grinned and clucked to Ratchet, making him jog lightly, calm and collected. Ty chuckled lightly as she mentioned she had been here 20 years and that if he needed a tour guide, she would be happy to help and honestly that was going to be a relief for him. Tyler hadn't really traveled far from his house and the barn. Tyler then nodded That would be great actually
Usually people told Tyler his voice was too deep for his age, however Tyler thought it was kind of cool to sound a little older. It was when she apologized to him about her mare he could only chuckle and raise a hand to dismiss her apology as he then glanced down at the mare Its quite alright Charlie, My stallio has his moment's when he can be a little mistrustful and he will nip at any human or horse that gets to close to him Tyler hated to admit that at times his horse would nip or snort and show a little aggression, however Ratchet was also a stallion so his heated temper tantrums and slight stubbornness could be a result from that too. Ratchet could sense the mares slight annoyance and grunted and side stepped a pace to the side, putting a slightly bigger gap between Tyler and Charlie. Laughing lightly, Tyler leaned down to pat the stallion on the neck with his free left hand, the right one still clung to the lead and the stallion's mane. As she asked where he was from, Ty chuckled and looked to her, taking in her figure as he then started to speak WELL.. My uncle lives in a small town just outside of Addison, I moved there with him when i was fifteen.. and i just came here but my uncle has a nice house up here so I'm staying in his spare house here while I come and compete for cross fire Tyler was slightly happy that he had his uncle's house to himself and his uncle said that if Tyler liked Addison enough and decided to settle here than his uncle would sell him the house for a good price. The house was just outside city limits and there was enough room for a horse or two. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ~Take your Memories I Don't Need'em~

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN As Tysaid that he would like to be shown around town Charlie gave him a big smile. " Awesome! Can I give you my phone number when we're done ridin' and you can call me whenever you're ready?" Charlie's voice was excited and her warm southern accent touched the could winter air. It was always really fun to be around good people and to give them a helping hand. That was how she was raised so it felt natural to her to help Ty out.
At her apology, he waved it off as nothing and said that his stallion was mistrustful and was a bit nippy. " That's not too bad. I've been around stallions a lot worse than he is." She said to Ty. She was trying to make him not feel bad about his stallion's behavior. The horse looked young and his stallion status didn't help the behavior issues. Charlie had always been a "mare" kind of girl. She had ridden geldings before and they were great horses but she had a personal preference for mares. They were..not as common in shows and often thought that they would lose to the geldings and the stallions. So, she wanted to ride one and win on her just to prove those people wrong.
Beauty did relax once Ty's stallion gave her some more space. Beauty was a silly girl. Ty then went on to tell her that he lived with his uncle who lived just outside of town for a few years and then moved to Addison to compete. That was why most people moved here but she couldn't blame them. There wasn't a whole lot going on here except for that. But what was really cool was that he was staying in his uncle's spare house. " That is so cool that you get to stay there, my parents help with the boarding for her but the rest is on me." Charlie said in response. Until now, she hadn't really realized how much taller Ty's horse was compared to her own. She felt dwarfed riding next to him.
Then the idea hit her. " Hey, you wanna race?" Charlie said excitedly and with a big grin on her face. Before she had even heard an answer from Ty, she and beauty were off running. Her horse was a reining horse was was very fast with great turns and reactions. She was loping very quickly as she didn't think that there was quite enough room for a full gallop. Besides, there might be ice under the layer of snow and she didn't want Beauty to slip and fall and hurt herself. It was exhilarating running with the mare. Charlie felt on top of the world. She felt so free, like a bird taking off and leaving the flightless animals on the ground.
