She had gotten up early that morning, poured herself a mug of black coffee and gotten ready for the day. She had let her little dog Billy out before kenneling him and heading out to the barn. It didn’t take her long to get there, she parked her black lifted truck and hopped out. Her spurs clicking as she tipped her cowboy hat just slightly and headed in the barn. It was a winters day but it was at least somewhat nice out, nice enough to work in the outdoor with the horses she had to work today, which was souly her mare. She had gotten through her other horses yesterday and only left Iris for today. She shook her head, Iris was a handful and anyone who showed up after she got in the outdoor was going to see a rodeo happen. She stopped and visited each of her horses until Kadence reached Iris, of course the mares ears were flat back against her head and she snorted. Oh knock it off sourpuss. She grabbed the leather halter and entered the stall, the mare dancing around her until the lead rope was thrown across her neck and she stopped and allowed the halter to be placed on. She shook her head and led the buckskin out and picked her feet before giving her a quick groom down and saddling her up. She hung the bridle on the horn of the saddle and walked down the aisle, Iris shoed hooves clipping and clopping as the made it outside and in one of the outdoor arenas. She hung the bridle on one of the fence post and went to the center of the arena unclipping the lead rope and sending the mare off, her ears were pinned and she reared and pawed the air landing with a thud as she took off quite fast around the women and when she tried to turn and go the other way the women was in the way and sending her off the right way. Final fifteen minutes in the mare was settled and ready to work, Kedence slipped the bridle over her left ear and buckled it up before tossing the halter and lead rope to the side and mounted gathering the reins in one hand and positioning herself in the center before cuing the mare silently to turn rapidly to the right and then stopping and doing the same thing to the left, she took off on the left lead doing a slow circle and then building up to the fast one, once in the center she switched leads to the right, and repeated before sending the mare down the center and sliding her to a stop, the mare was simply something else when she slid to a stop it was something crowds went just as wild about as the spins, she rolled back and headed off to repeat with another sliding stop.

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN Charlie had rolled out of bed that morning and almost landed on her miniature long-haired dachshund named Jack. Jack was just a puppy and could move quickly out of the way. The 7 month old "cutie pie" as Charlie called him, knew the drill in the morning. He could sleep on the bed or next to the bed or even in the covers but, when it was time to wake up, he had better be out of harms way.
It had been another long night for the 20 year old. She had a paper due in a few days and that thing was a bitch. Charlie had no interest in the patterns of the stock market but, she did want to get her business degree so, she needed to take classes and write papers that she didn't want to take or write. She wanted to open her own stable someday and be a horse trainer as well. Her life was horses and she was pretty good at it. She was currently a sophomore in college so she still had a long way to go before that would happen. She had graduated high school at the age of 18 and went to college at Addison University.
She dragged herself to the coffee maker that she had in her apartment and made herself a french vanilla cappuccino. Maybe it wasn't very "cowgirl" of her to be drinking coffee that was so sweet but she hated the taste of black coffee. It was too bitter and french vanilla had always been her favorite. She had tried things like hazelnut but it couldn't compare.
After that she fed her dog his puppy food and went to get dressed and ready for another morning with her wonderful mare. When she was done, she put Jack in the hallway with a baby-gate up and his food bowl, water bowl, kennel, "potty pad" and a few toys went with him. She gave Jack one last cuddle before walking out the door to get into her truck.
She opened the door to her black truck and hopped inside, quite literally. The truck was tall and Charlie was quite short. Only being 5'2", she faced several difficulties working around horses and the equipment that went along with them but, she made it through. The truck was cold and the small framed girl shivered inside. She was wearing a black baggy sweatshirt, boot-cut jeans with a bedazzled design on the back pockets and her cowboy boots. She didn't drive with her hat on because it was distracting to her but she did have in on her dash. She turned the truck on and the song "Truck Yeah" by Tim Mcgraw came on. Charlie sang along as she pulled out of the driveway and onto the street to the barn.
After several more songs, she finally arrived at the barn. She jumped out of her truck, landing with a soft thud on the ground. She placed her had on her head and walked inside to meet her precious "baby."
She saw several heads pop out of their stalls and she smiled and said "hello" to them all. When she reached Beauty's stall, she grinned and pet the mare. "How's my darlin' doin' this mornin'? Charlie asked lovingly to her companion. She saw that the barn staff has already fed her, her breakfast so she went to the tack room to get her things. Beauty had a chocolate brown saddle pad, a chocolate brown halter and a chocolate brown lead rope. When she returned, she put Beauty's things on a saddle rack. She got the mare out of her stall with little fuss and put her in the cross-tie. She gave the mare a quick grooming before tacking her up. She had to go back to the tack room to get the bridle and and saddle.
She pet her mare again before leading her to the outdoor arena. When she got there, she saw a girl riding her buckskin mare as well. Nice to see another girl reining. Reining was a male dominated discipline by far. Barrel racing was more "for" girls which was why she didn't compete in it. Charlie was quite stubborn in that way. She liked to prove others that they were wrong. She liked beating boys with their geldings and stallions on her short little mare.
" Mind if I join ya?" Charlie asked sweetly with her smooth southern accent when the pair was close enough to hear her. Beauty waited patiently with her ears forward and very alert, watching what the pair was doing. Charlie could tell that the mare wanted to start working too. That was the great thing about her mare, she was self motivating, much like herself. WORDS 795 TAGGED Ty/Kadence NOTES This is her dog in case you were wondering: Click! TYLER FRANCIS WYLDE ~Take Your Records Take Your Freedom~ Tyler was up and moving around the lonely house, washing the dishes he had dirtied for last nights supper, Steak and fried potatoes. Tyler was a master chef. A lot of people had told him to go to school for it but, Ty didn't like the idea to much. Sure he loved food but he couldn't be around it all day, every day. He would end up weighing three hundred pounds. As Tyler finished drying the pan he then slipped on the famous black leather cowboy boots, the spurs chimed as he put his foot down from the chair. Tyler had chosen a simple look today, black fitted jeans with a white muscle shirt and a black and white plaid shirt over top, both tucked in the front to reveal the gold buckle. Tyler grasped the black leather cowboy hat off the counter and placed it on his head.
Walking out the door, Tyler turned to lock the door behind him and he held a large carrot in his hand, obviously deciding to treat his stallion. Tyler hopped up into his avalanche and started the engine and as the truck thundered to life, blaring over the speakers was Who Are You When I'm Not Looking by Blake Shelton. With a sigh, tyler looked to the passenger seat, remembering a little while ago how him and a woman from addison had gotten together afew times, one time they were drunk though. Tyler shook that woman off his mind as he pulled out of the long drive way and started toward the barn, his thoughts still trailing back to her.
Tyler cut the engine and leap out of the truck, closing the door and heading for the stables, although commotion over by the outdoor arena caused him to glance over. There was Charlie, who he had met the other day and then another young woman, who he hadn't seen before so he gave a small wave and then entered the stables, pulling the carrot out of his pocket and reached Ratchets stall, with a light whistle the large brute stuck out his ebony head and perked his ears, his eyes clearly on that carrot. Ty chuckled and held out the carrot, Ratchet taking bites off it How is my boy, doing good ... and I see you already had breakfast
With a chuckle, Ty gave Ratchet the rest of the carrot then grasped the halter and lead, stepping in the stall to situate the stallion before leading him out to the cross ties and starting to groom him. Once finished, Tyler grasped the lime green saddle pad and then the black western saddle, fastening it as he then left to get the simple black, western bridle. As Ty switched from halter to bridle, ratchet snorted with frustration and Tyler only chuckled. As Tyler finished putting on the bridle he then returned to the saddle, tightening it now that Ratchet had relaxed again. Clucking to Ratchet, the stallion walked on effortlessly. Tyler then brought the brute out into the slightly chilled air and toward the outdoor arena, tipping his hat to the ladies as he spoke up Top of the morning to you both. Good to see you again Charlie Tyler then glanced to the pair in the arena, another buckskin. Tyler glanced to Charlie and Beauty as Ratchet nickered softly to the mare, remembering her presence from the other day, however when the next pair came close, Ratchet pinned his ears and let out a agitated snort. With a sigh, Tyler swatted the stallions shoulder with the ends of the split reins Ratchet knock it off, they aren't any harm to you Even with the words of encouragement, Ratchet still kept his ears down and eyes locked on the other pair.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ~Take your Memories I Don't Need'em~

She pushed her hat down and did little encouraging for the mare to sped up and then be pulled back and into a sliding stop she grinned and backed the mare quickly before patting her neck before turning her head, nope not at all anyone is a friend of mine even though we have only just met, im Kadence but call me Livy or Kay and this is Iris. The mare snorted and pinned her ears as she saw a man and his stud coming out, the horse didn’t seem to found of Iris and Iris wasn’t about to let him get away with it. She reared and pawed threateningly at the stud and Kadence pulled her down and did a really tight circle with the mare until she calmed down, damn it Iris this isn’t how your going to make friends. She looked up, sorry sir and just a note don’t get too close to her shes not very horse nice. Kadence turned the mare away and walked her around before stopping her dead center and looking to the girl and back to the guy for a moment before it dawned on her, Ty is that you? Its me Kadence. She spoke with excitement, at realizing he was here. She grinned and tapped Iris sides and walked her around some more before hopping off, let me go get a more horse friendly horse I have one in mind. She gave a friendly smile and walked pass Ty as she went down to the barn quite quickly and had the tack stripped and the mare in the wash rack, she replaced the mares tack and went back to hose her down before drying her and returning her to her stall. She went to Beats stall and lead him out with his leather halter before switching it for a rope halter and tying the lead as a set of reins. Beat was the gentlest horse she had and he loved other horses alike, she gave his thick neck a pat and led him out, and back into the outdoor. She asked him to lay down and then she mounted and he stood, she could have mounted from ground up but Beat enjoyed his little trick, Once more she patted his neck and let him walk around, as he kindly nickered to the other horses.

IF I DIE YOUNG BURY ME IN SATIN Not long after she had arrived at the outdoor arena, Ty showed up. She smiled and waved at the boy that she had met a few days go. "Good to see you too, Ty." She said to him. Ty's horse nickered at Beauty and now that she recognized him from their last ride together, she nickered back at him. Charlie smiled and patted the quarter horse mare on the neck. Ty's horse didn't seem so happy with the other buckskin though. She wondered how this would work if all three of them were going to ride together.
The other girl who introduced herself as Kadence but to call her Livy or Kay. Charlie nodded and smiled. "I'm Charlotte but you can call me Charlie. This is Beauty." She said in return as she motioned to the horse standing next to her. She was sure that Livy had head Ty call her Charlie but a proper introduction was always necessary.
She walked her buckskin mare into the ring and mounted quickly. She moved her mare into a quick trot to do a lap around the ring before they started really practicing. She loved being around other people but she did wish that there was a little more space. Beauty's gate was fast paced and forward moving. Today had to be a day that they worked on stuff. It was good to see Ty and Livy but she couldn't let her practicing slide because she saw a few friends. Beauty was happy that they were getting to work as well.
