She smiled and walked out of the paddock stopping once more at Dunners stall and giving him a good scratching and a treat before walking to her car and getting in. The drive home didn’t seem that long and when she got in the house she could hear her child crying and screaming and the babysitter wasn’t doing anything. Cherise excused the girl and went and scooped her child up and went to the kitchen, humming softly as she made a bottle and heated it up ever so slightly before offering it to Anna who greedily took it and stared up at her mother before looking around. Cherise shook her head, she couldn’t believe she had hired such a babysitter. My little one you must been hungry, she spoke softly setting the bottle down and looking for the burp cloth she kept near, she remembered she had washed it and it was now upstairs with the others, she went upstairs and grabbed one, coming back downstairs and adjusting her daughter and hitting her back, which caused her to burp but also some of her bottle to come back up. She cleaned her mouth and smiled down at her, waiting for Nick to arrive. She took her shoes off and sat down on the chair and began rocking back and forth, watching as her daughters bright blue eyes began to drop with each rock and then finally she was out, carefully she stood and brought her upstairs and laid her down in her crib and turned the monitor on before shutting the door but leaving it open a crack, she went back downstairs and tided up a bit and got the stuff set up for the next bottle and then she heard a knock at the door and went to answer it, smiling when she saw Nick. I was beginning to think you weren’t coming any more. She spoke with a grin, stepping up to him and giving him another soft, yet longer kiss then before and then stepping back, come in she spoke and moved to sit on the couch in the living room and wait.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #666666 solid 10px; width: 399px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;]so call me when you get here and tell me when you hit that ground Well, tonight hadn’t gone exactly to plan, but Nick didn’t mind the disruptions. It wasn’t Cherise’s fault that the babysitter she had gotten for the night turned out to be a dud… although if he had known that she had a child before he had asked her out he would have thought of something that would have been a little easier for her. Most guys probably would have baulked at the thought that she had a child, but well… to him it wasn’t a giant issue, rejecting someone over the fact that they were a parent wasn’t really something that he would do.
He had gone to leave the barn after she had, but a friend stopped him to have a quick chat before he got to his bike, but that didn’t take too long, quickly saying his goodbyes before taking off, heading in the direction of the address that she had given him. Luckily Addison wasn’t a huge town, and he pretty much knew where all of the streets were, considering he had grown up here, so it didn’t take him long to find the right street and the right house, riding his bike carefully because of the weather. He wished that it wasn’t hitting winter, because then he would have to switch mostly to his car to get around everywhere.
Parking his bike outside her house, he killed the engine and kicked down the stand to hold it up, heading up to her front door and knocking once he reached it, stepping back a little from the door as he waited for her to answer it. He smiled at her when she opened the door, walking in when she let him into her house, not getting a chance to answer her before she had reached up to kiss him again.
“Sorry, the weather makes riding this thing slower,” he answered, waving the helmet in his hand a little to indicate that he was talking about his bike, following her further into the house and sitting down on the couch beside her.

Cherise smiled as he sat down and laughed lightly, I understand completely though you really shouldn’t be riding a motorcycle in winter, though I used to ride mine all the time in winter until it got to bad. She smiled again, well you missed the crying unhappy baby so that’s a good thing, poor thing was hungry and she was just sitting here when I got home doing absolutely nothing. Cherise frowned and then looked at him which she couldn’t help but smile, she could hear her daughter just begin to wake up, assuming she most likely needed her dipper changed. Excuse me for a moment, she spoke standing and making sure her dress was covering her butt and hadn’t rode up or anything. She went upstairs and pushed the door open to her daughters room, carefully scooping her daughter up and laying her down on the changing table. She was a pro by now and it didn’t take long at all, now your going to be a stinker and not go back to sleep are you? She gave her daughter a kind smile before grabbing a blanket and swaddling her. She went down the hall to her room and laid her daughter down, changing into yoga pants and a tank top, she placed a hoodie over top and scooped up Anna and headed back downstairs. So you get to meet my daughter after all she spoke with a smile, going and sitting down next to him again, she adjusted herself so she was more comfortable and her daughter would be too, leaning back Cherise leaned against him and looked up at him, This is Annabell but most everyone including me calls her Anna. She smiled and waited for Nick to say something.

Well, it was definitely nicer on his bank account to use his bike, since the bike used a lot less fuel than his car did, although luckily he wasn’t strapped for cash as it was anyway so it didn’t matter so much.
“At least she’s alright now,” he replied, when she told him how her daughter had been when she had gotten home. That was another reason he had taken a little bit longer… giving her time to get herself and the baby sorted out was probably a good idea. “Sure,” he said, nodding when she excused herself, hearing the baby from the other room as well, figuring that was where she was headed, leaning back comfortably against the couch as she left the room, waiting patiently for her to come back out again, setting his helmet on the floor beside his feet after a moment’s thought, rather than have himself sitting there holding it the whole time.
He heard her footsteps entering the room again, turning his head slightly to watch her walk in, and giving her yet another smile. “She’s beautiful,” he said, after she had introduced Anna to him. Well, that was what one did when someone introduced them to their baby, right? Okay maybe he hadn’t had an incredible amount of experience around kids, he liked them well enough but as far as it went not many of his friends had them so he was half clueless. He knew the basics… older kids had always been easier but then again they could talk and run around and do stuff… babies, not so much.

She smiled and looked down at Anna running a finger along her cheek and watching the girl make soft noises as she looked up at her mother. Cherise looked up at Nick, thank you would you like to hold her? She asked shifting so she was sitting up more and could easily hand her off and not have to worry about something happening. Cherise was a very good mother and wasn’t to over protective but enough to keep her daughter safe. She shifted again and shifted her daughter, who was looking up at her with those piercing eyes of hers. Cherise smiled at her daughter, most said she had been blessed that Anna hadn’t been a fussy baby, she was actually pretty easy going, slept through the nights right off the bat, though she hadn’t to imagine what would happen when Anna was a teen. Cherise looked to Nick, I promise you wont break her or hurt her or even make her cry shes very easy going. Cherise smiled, taking the time to study the man before her, she wondered what made him so different then everyone else? He didn’t run when she said she had a kid, he just seemed to take everything in stride and she liked that, She carefully leaned over and kissed his cheek before straightening and waited.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #666666 solid 10px; width: 399px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;]so call me when you get here and tell me when you hit that ground He hadn’t even thought about having kids of his own before, really. well, he had never really had a reason to… maybe if things had worked out with Bri like he had wanted them to it might have been on the cards one day, but honestly he hadn’t been in that many relationships, contrary to popular belief, and he was still young as it was so it wasn’t like he didn’t have plenty of time to go through all of those things. He certainly wasn’t in any rush for it all, but nor would he say no to it. it just depended on the circumstances, he guessed.
“Uh, sure, I can do that…” Nick started, when she asked if he wanted to hold the baby, giving her a sheepish grin. “But I’ll warn you now, I haven’t really had that much experience holding babies or anything…” he added, shifting slightly where he sat. He wasn’t too worried about actually holding Anna though, figuring that it really probably couldn’t be that hard to do… and besides, he was sitting down as well so that lowered the likelihood of him accidentally dropping her or something. If she had asked him to babysit it might have been a different answer… he definitely wasn’t ready for that sort of thing. Not until he actually knew how to look after babies anyway.

She smiled and looked down at Anna before looking at Nick and smiling, she shifted Anna and carefully gave her over to Nick, adjusting his arms so he was supporting her in just all the right places. See you are a natural, she smiled and looked at the two of them, now make sure you relax she can pick up on if you are nervous or stressed and she will become crabby, she winked and shifted to lean back against the couch, have you ever took care of a baby? Its pretty simple and Anna could be the perfect teacher seeing shes easy going of course I would never leave you alone with her until you are one hundred percent comfortable, so what do you say would you like to learn? Cherise smiled leaning over and placing a soft kiss on his cheek and then looking down at her daughter, smiling as her daughter smiled. She placed her hand on Nicks shoulder and gave him a light squeeze, relax shes not going to bit you I promise nor is she going to start screaming and you are a natural you are not going to drop her. Smiling softly she kissed his cheek again and waited.
