Colleste lead her bay mare down the isle. Reaching the arena, she turned and smiled. Queenie nudged her pocked but Colleste shook her head. "Later, girl." She put her foot in the stirrup and mounted. She eyed the jumps greedily. It was time to fly. Colleste nudged Queenie in the sides and the mare burst into a canter. She flew towards the first jump. Queenie hadn't jumped in a while and pricked her ears. The mare flew over the jump, landing on the other side. Colleste once again shot through the air. She cantered around the jumping course, until there were no jumps left. Colleste rubbed Queenie's ears and loosened her grip. Queenie, instead of slowing down, sped up into a gallop. Colleste strengthened her grip once again and went with the flow. The mare's elegant body flew around the arena giving a buck now and then. Queenie dug her hooves into the sand, spraying Colleste's face. Finally Queenie stopped, her hooves sinking slightly. "Good girl." Colleste reached the sugar out of her pocket. Queenie turned her head eagerly licking the sugar from her palm. Colleste nudged Queenie into a walk to cool her down. "Good girl," Colleste said again. "You're going to be a star."

Colleste lay there on the ground, sand sticking to her top. She gazed at the roof, smiling. She imagined that the lights were replaced with a full stadium. She imagined that people were watching her on Queenie earlier. Gosh that girl was wonderful. Colleste let out a chuckle. Rolling onto her size, she swirled her fingers in the sand. Figures of horses, beautiful horses, emerged. The horses that she loved. [/center]

Eilisch sighed gently, looking around the huge indoor arena - this place was incredible! The 19yr old had left all of her luggage crowding the door way at home to come straight here to see the facilities. The tack room was immaculate, with rows of gleaming saddles, and the stalls were roomy and homelike. The large grey stallion nudged her shoulder gently, and looked into her green eyes, searching them. She pushed his nose away softly, "All you want is a treat, and your not getting one until you've done some work." Pulling the stirrup leathers down, she lead Dex to the mounting block, and mounted. Squeezing him gently on, she began working on the stallion's dressage, asking him to leg-yield, half-pass and flying change.
After about half an hour, Dex tossed his head, and danced across to the side. "Ok boy, that enough for today." Dex looked around at her, and she took out the Polo and gave it to him. As he crunched on the mint, Eilisch walked him on a long rein, noticing a dark bay horse and her rider. Something about the mare caught the girls eye. What is it about that horse? Dex had also seen the mare and started moving toward her, stopping just in front of her. Reaching out, he touched his nose to her's, and nickered softly. Eilisch looked down at the rider and smiled.

Colleste felt the sand in her fingers. Queenie lowered her head, and lay down, resting her head in Colleste's lap. Colleste ran her fingers through Queenie's mane. Colleste kissed Queenie and felt a brilliant smile on her face. Queenie nickered and got to her hooves. Colleste got to her feet and saw the girl. Her blue-green eyes were bottomless, and gorgeous. Colleste was honestly beautiful. Her face was one that would turn beautiful with anger. Her dark hair blew around her face. A nice smile was on her lips. Queenie pinned her ears and stepped in front of Colleste. Colleste mouthed a sorry. "It's ok, Queenie. He's not going to hurt you. No one'll hurt you here. Let me assure you!" Queenie nudged her arm. "It's ok." She planted a kiss on the mare's forehead. "No one can hurt us here. Not anymore girl. We won't be hurt no more. Love you girl." The stallion touched Queenie's muzzle and Queenie stepped back, afraid of the testosterone-filled male. Colleste pushed away her fringe away from her eyes with a skinny arm. "I got her a year ago at a sale by Winter's Cross Stables. Damn hypocrites. Now Queenie hates all kinds of males." Queenie snorted and Colleste laughed.

Dexter tossed his head, confused at the thrill of fear that alighted in the bay mares eyes as she stepped back. Eilisch put her hand on his muzzle to stop him from approaching her again as her rider spoke. Poor horse! What did they do to her to make her so afraid? Smiling again, the brown-haired girl took a closer look at her rider - she seemed a little... Too sure of herself, too confident, it even looked like it was bordering on arrogance.
Eilisch's green eyes narrowed for a split second as she made a changeable decision about the girl. She looked a bit younger too. " I shouldn't stay any longer then, if she gets nervous around stallions." A brisk smile coated her lips, and she started to walk away, leading the tall grey horse after her. It wasn't that she didn't like the girl, but for her first day, she didn't want to end up saying something she would regret.

"Sorry. It's my first day. I haven't made a good impression, have I." Colleste laughed. She traced the scars on her wrist. There weren't many, her mother had caught her. For all she knew, she'd be dead by now if her mother hadn't arrived. The girl put her hand on the stallion's muzzle. Colleste smiled slightly, but it was obvious the smile was fake. "No, she's not scared, she's just protective of me." Colleste hugged the mare. Colleste sighed as the girl started to turn away. "Um...Bye?" Colleste felt a blast of wind, and she held her arms around her. She let a choked sound from her lips. "I don't think nice is gonna get me anywhere, is it, Queenie?" she spoke to Queenie, "But who am I kidding. I can't be mean. I can't do anything really!" she laughed and remounted, galloping off, knowing that doom would impend if she didn't make any friends. Laughing at the thought, she closed her eyes. Then she felt like she was flying before cluttering to the floor. Caressing herself, she broke down and started to cry.
