Delicate fingers moved feverishly to uncap a bottle of Disarrono. Kalina was on her fourth drink, the smooth liquor tasting like honey as it made its way down her throat. She was beginning to become tipsy, never really one to drink before tonight. Her anxiety was through the roof and she'd needed something to calm it- usually taking one of her Xanax worked, but unfortunately her prescription was empty.
Grabbing her phone, Lina quickly shot a text to Mason. She didn't say much, just sent him her address and a heart. Kalina had missed him more than anything, and unfortunately knew that if she got any more drunk, she'd spill her feelings for him. The only problem was.. at this point she was tipsy enough not to care. There was still a majority of the bottle in her hands left, as well as a second in the refrigerator, and Kal didn't want to be alone. Left to her own devices while drunk, she was afraid that if her anxiety spiked any further, she'd cut again.
Changing into pajama shorts and a tank top, Kalina was sure to pull on a hoodie over her arms. Even tipsy, she didn't want Mason to see the cuts and scars on her arms. Though she'd been reunited with him nearly a week ago, and she hadn't cut since, she was still petrified what he'd do if he found out. Her brother had flipped out when he found out, and she could only imagine what Mason's reaction would be; it wasn't pretty.
Harmony, Kalina's Dogue de Bordeaux puppy, rolled playfully around on the floor. Her new favorite trick was tucking in a shoulder and tumbling forward. Kalina let out a giggle, which led to Harm staring at her with a silly puppy grin. Lina scooped her up, smooching her on her tiny brown nose, and turned to her tv.
Popping the first Pirates of the Caribbean movies into her DVD player, Lina snuggled under a blanket though it was warm in her apartment. She was paranoid about Mason seeing her scars, seeing how she'd barely kept on enough weight to be considered healthy. When she heard a knock on the door, she debated getting up and answering it, but instead called out, "Come on in, Mase!"
