[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #2b4d73 solid 10px; width: 399px; padding: 5 5 5 5px;] who will save me from all i'm up against out in this world With a few hours to kill between patients, Lincoln hadn’t wanted to really stay at the hospital… usually if he did now he just ended up staying in his office until it was time to leave, not particularly wanting to wander around the hospital for the most part… especially nowhere near the obstetrics ward, considering last time he had been in there was when Zaine had been born and Namya had died. So naturally, it wasn’t exactly a place that held the best memories for him right now… he wouldn’t go so far as to refuse to come here of course but it didn’t mean he enjoyed coming here any better. So he had wandered out of the hospital, into the cold, and walked all the way to the coffee shop. In hindsight he probably should have driven there, but he hadn’t been bothered to go all the way to the car park to collect it, so he had just walked out the front doors of the hospital and down the street, ignoring the cold… well, it wasn’t nearly anywhere near as cold as being in Wales in the middle of winter and despite living here so many years he still had a high tolerance for cold weather. And besides, in a small town like this is wasn’t like it took all that long to walk anywhere. That being said, it didn’t take him long to reach the coffee shop, passing relatively few people on his way there, most people opting to stay inside the warmth of their homes, workplaces, cars or wherever they happened to be instead of wandering the streets, so he didn’t have to deal with anyone on his walk here. Entering the coffee shop, it was significantly warmer inside the building, enough to make him pull a slight face and shrug his jacket off before he had even reached the counter to order his coffee. He ordered, and then went to find an empty table, right near the window, staring out into the street, letting his thoughts wander. He hadn’t used to drink this much coffee, until now… then again, being a single father to a young baby who still had wonky sleep patterns apparently did that to you. zen | 373 | sorry it's a bit sucky, starters are hard sometimes haha |
