personality » Good luck catching Anthony without a smile on his face. He has an excellent sense of humor and finds it exceedingly easy to laugh at himself. The way he sees it, if he does something dumb he deserves to be laughed at. He doesn't take offense very easily, and not many people have ever seen him upset or angry for any reason.
There's only one sort of person he can't stand and those would be doctors. He doesn't mind them as people, but he can't stand them in their profession. He hates the sterilized white walls and sterilized everything, the machines that beep constantly and just everything about hospitals. Plus, the doctors all try to get him to take pain meds, which would kill him, and then panic when he has "seizures" due to "withdrawals."
He's a generally friendly person, and in no way anti-social. He's not the kind of person though to go running up to anyone and everyone he sees and start a conversation. He speaks English perfectly, but his voice is accented with a Spanish lilt that has stuck around from living in Mexico. There's not much that bothers him, except people who are involved in politics. In his opinion, politics has just become a big mud slinging competition and he wants no part of it. He's willing to be your friend, and is a loyal companion. He's anything but quick to judge others, and gets along with just about everyone.
WE'LL TAKE CONTROL OF THE WORLD,
appearance » Being a jockey, Anthony is exceptionally well built from years of riding the high energy thoroughbreds. He's short, yes, but he has to be to keep his job, so he's perfectly satisfied with it. Though he is Caucasian, he remains pretty tan throughout the entirety of the year almost as if the color has been burned into his skin from spending many years out under the glaring Mexican sun.
As all jockeys, you would expect him to be short, and well...quite frankly, he is. At five five, it's hard for him to find a girl who doesn't tower over him. Still, he doesn't mind. Horse racing is his life, and if he were any taller, he wouldn't be able to be a jockey. If he was unable to be a jockey, he would kill himself and there would be no such thing as Anthony Lovasz anymore.
He keeps his hair relatively short in order to keep it out of his way. A scar on his right arm runs from his shoulder to about half to his elbow, the reminder of a broken arm several years ago. His eyes are a deep blue, and unlike most blue-eyed people, they never appear to be gray in dim light. Over all he's a pretty decent looking young man.
family » Essentially disowned his parents and was raised by his older sister Maria and older brother Eric. He also has three younger siblings, Andrew, Tobias, and Chanel.
others of importance » Matthew Fentley- father figure/trainer

life history » Mexicali was a hard place to grow up. Everyone was poor, and no matter how hard anyone worked, they could never get ahead. Anthony's parents had initially come to Mexico as catholic missionaries, but when the church they were working for ran out of money and left them stranded, they soon turned to drugs and alcohol. They had two children before him, both of which turned out alright, but then with Anthony... his mom's drinking and drug abuse had gotten so bad that he was born with a rare form of fetal alcohol syndrome which caused him to have a complete intolerance for drugs or alcohol. Two more children were born, and they too, were lucky enough to avoid the intolerance to drugs and alcohol, by some miracle. They were unlucky enough, however, to be abandoned by their parents shortly after being born, leaving a 12 year old girl, and two boys, ages 10 and 6, to care for the twin babies.
His older sister was too busy taking care of the children, and there weren't many jobs a 10 and 6 year old could get. His brother went to work for a street merchant selling blankets and ponchos... for rarely more than a dollar a day. Anthony, left to his own devices, found his way to a horse race track and was so enthralled by the sport that he went and pleaded with one of the trainers to give him a job... he would do anything, clean stalls, feed in the morning... anything. Of course, being 6, he couldn't do much, but he managed to make maybe a dollar a week. When he was 12, still working at the track for a number of trainers, he saw an exercise rider beating and ripping on the face of one of the horses Anthony had cared for these 4 years. Being a "spunky" kid, he marched right out there and told the rider he was an idiot and even he could do better. Everyone within earshot laughed... the kid probably weighed no more than 80 lbs... but he was determined... so the rider told him to give it a go.
There was no going back after that. He started picking up rides in the morning after that, and when he was 14 was asked to ride in his first race. Sure, he was far too young, but the pay was better, and there were four other people at home that needed food. So he took the offer... and was nearly killed. He was shoved off of his horse in front of the oncoming herd and one of the 4 horses was unable to avoid him and crushed his shoulder. The surgery to fix it only caused more problems and the drugs put him into a coma for two weeks. As soon as he was well enough to ride, he was out there again. At 16, an American trainer noticed him and convinced him to come work for him in the US as an exercise rider until he would be old enough to get his jockeys license. The pay was too good to turn down.
He moved to the US shortly after, hardly speaking a word of English, and struggled through the challenge of learning a new language surrounded by far superior riders with a great deal more horse knowledge. Luckily, he picked up English quickly enough that when he happened to meet a certain Sebastian Kings and Charlie Parker, the communication wasn't that bad (though they would probably beg to differ). Every penny he made that didn't go to rent, which was the vast majority of it, was sent home to his family in Mexico. At 18 he passed the jockeys test with flying colors, and started racing... and taking the jockey world by storm. At 21 another horse collided with his own and sent them both crashing through the rail, breaking 4 ribs, puncturing a lung, shattering his wrist, and fracturing his leg. He, of course, refused the help of a doctor and swore he was well enough to walk out on his own. He collected his horse, and limped back to the stable. The next morning's headlines read "Stubborn is as Stubborn does." His "lack of professional sophisticated training" was blamed for the accident despite his recent and very well known success, and he struggled just to find one ride in a cheap claiming race a week, even after taking a year off to heal. Well aware that he needed to start over, he moved to Texas to ride for some of the smaller stables scattered throughout the state, and settled in Addison Texas to make his living there.

personality » Huck is a very high strung horse, given up on by the kentucky crowd. They never could get him within 10 feet of the starting gate, let alone into it. He doesn't really ever run in a straight line and he never puts out the speed they've seen him display in the paddock when he has a rider on his back. He is a pain in the neck to handle on the ground, and often even worse under saddle.
