The blonde was practically in full panic mode when he started to try and reassure her that she was safe and alright. She shook her head. She would never be safe. So many things could go wrong, and besides that, she would never be safe from the monsters that invaded her mind. That was something that no one had ever and will never be able to protect her from. They would forever be engraved into her head. Nothing could help her with that. She had problems, but she wouldn't admit them to herself, and she certainly wouldn't admit them to anyone else. The scars on her wrists proved that she had problems, but she felt like she could control them. When something upset her, she would inflict pain on herself, trying to help her control herself, and no matter what she did, she couldn't stop.
A hand. Not exactly what she was expecting to grab onto, but once she had his hand in hers, she didn't want to stop holding it. She squeezed it slightly, clenching her jaw as he tried to reassure her. Then her hand was placed on the bed again, and the doctor was asking for an oxygen mask over her face. Immediately, she started protesting, telling the nurse that she really didn't need it, but the nurse put it over her mouth and nose anyway. Logan reached up to take it off, but the nurse put her hand over it, making it impossible for Logan to take it off. Her eyes watched the nurse and all she could think of was how bad she wanted to be out of here or at least be able to take this stupid mask off her face. And then the nurse started talking to her. Perfect.
Logan tuned into the doctor's words, and almost immediately felt uncomfortable when he lifted her shirt up and placed it just above her bra. She wiggled slightly with discomfort, but tried to breathe deeply as he had instructed. Though she was trying, Logan could only take small breaths before her rib started to hurt her. She felt his hands on her mid torso and clenched her jaw, expecting it to hurt. He was touching her gently, though, so it didn't really hurt... and then pain shot through her body and she clenched her teeth, letting out a whimper that was just one, long whistle sound. The pain was terrible, shooting through her body and making her feel like she was going to either pass out or throw up. She squeezed her eyes shut, wanting the pain to go away, and after a few, long moments, it was. Yet, she still laid there, unmoving for a few moments after, expecting more pain.
There was none, though, and Logan felt the doctor pulling her shirt down. He was speaking to her, but she didn't really catch his words. She still had her eyes closed, but she was more relaxed now. She felt almost as if she could sleep. That's when her eyes snapped open again. Sleep was out of the question. Frankly, she felt as though she would never sleep again. She lifted her hand to the mask on her face, the nurse had left for only a moment, but Logan had the mask off in that amount of time and was listening to the doctor's words. And again, panic struck her. No. I can't stay here. No. I won't stay here. There's absolutely no way that I can stay here. She had too many terrible memories of hospitals to stay for the night. Even if they could make her stay, she wouldn't sleep if she had to stay here. She'd be too afraid of nightmares.
Suddenly, another nurse came into the room. Logan hadn't even noticed that she had left, but she was here now. She saw the look exchanged between the nurse and doctor, and the doctor nodded, rising Logan's curiosity. What's happening? Who's coming?
